Up the blues! Was not expecting that.

Are we title challengers again now?

Top 10 are title challengers right now

The rangers game is on premier sports. What's going on.

Expecting a Spurs win but I'm sure we'll see a Salah dive and penalty at some stage

And here we go. The able bodied versus the crippled while fielding 9 of their strongest 11. How feeble is that?

Be a miracle to get a point out of this with the injuries.

Not really. I count 3 spurs players that would make the pool 11 imo

Exactly Allison, Trent, Salah....the likes of them cant be in a side expecting to win.

This is David vs. Goliath akin to Athlone Town against Juventus.

Liverpool obviously favourites today... I'm not sure I get your point?

Spurs best chance is to attack Liverpool's lack of CB's. Rhys has never played a professional league match in his life before, and Fab - as brilliant a footballer as he is - is a CM rather than a CB.

    Son Kane Toby?

Think they were the 3 I counted alright, although that gives rise to formation issues.

Liverpool on top after 1st 15 here. Henderson looking sharp

To be fair Rebel, when people stated that Klopp never signed a CB for cover given the injury concerns with Matip & Gomez they were told Fab is a CB cover.

He's a good CB imo from what I've seen in a few games

On present form I'd go with 4 players anyway... Dier and Toby nailed on to start at CB, with Fab moving into CM instead of Jones. Would have to start Son and Kane ahead of Mane and Firmino on their form right now All 4 are great players, but Spurs 2 are in the form of their lives.

He is a grand CB - though we've not see him put under pressure yet. But he's been massively missed from the middle, he's an absolute colossus in CM for us.

And yeah, that was always the argument in preseason for not buying another CB - one I was (and still am) firmly against though. IMO it's reckless to not have 4 proper CB's. I get that under normal circumstances, you only need that 4th choice a few times, but as things have developed, we've seen that exceptional circumstances do happen, and we've lost our midfield domination as a result.

The only thing VAR is consistent in is its inconsistency

I'm still unsure why the Holding barge into Djenepo wasn't even looked at in the Arsenal game!

Phew! Bit of luck there! Sure we'll take it!

Be interesting now to see Spurs have to come out and leave a bit of space.

They'll be getting the rulers out in Liverpool measuring the VAR lines again.

I'm surprised VAR didn't have a look at that Bergwijn challenge on Williams
