Outside water pipe piping

I'd like to bring a water pipe out of the attic just above ceiling level and down the wall under the path and over to the garage. What pipe should I use? Obviously I dont want it to freeze or get damaged!

Whats going to be in the pipe?

Is it to bring water/tap somewhere or is it for waste etc?
