Any tips on making Feuerzangenbowle (for 1)

So, no visiting Christmas markets for me this year. One of the things I love at them is Feuerzangenbowle. Has anyone tried making it at home? In small batches? Half the recipes I've seen seem to call for multiple bottles of red wine...

You're going to be buying in quantity to begin with; unless you happen to have overproof rum at home anyway! I'd just scale everything down linearly really.

One bottle of red wine and a standard set of mulling spices should do the job for the wine base, and just use rather less than a bottle of rum in the flaming bit.
