Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
And the fire is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.....

It's a beautiful winters night and there's a Joyous Christmas party happening in Nakitomi Plaza.... but not all is calm, peaceful and serene... No matter how it appears on the outside...

Ever watched Die hard and thought how cool would it be to relive the moments experienced by John McClane inside the Nakitomi building ? Well now is your chance to try it out!

33 floors to explore (Only 5 floors playable in this game) and a number of rooms on each floor such as in the diagram below, you're sure to have fun navigating your way around the plaza!

    Signup-Teaser.jpg

Pick up items, explore what a TV dinner feels like, discover everything that Nakitomi has to offer and encounter some familiar friends and foes along the way

So come one, come all, to a party that you're never going to forget!!

    Yippie Ki Yay mother truckers!

(Reminder, this is Rikkiplex lite :; it will be no way as intensive as a Silent Hill game. There will be exploring though some of it will be automated. There wont be puzzles, but there will be items that can be picked up. Some good, some bad. Some that are purely for flavour. The perfect way to spend a quiet Christmas week!)

Hoping to hit 21 players to fill the full capabilities of my role set. Some people will probably be vanilla, but come on man, its Die Hard!

Start Date Sunday 27th of December!

    Good / Evil
    Democrat / Republican
    Liverpool / United
    Light / Dark
Those who think Die Hard is a Christmas Movie / Those who are wrong

I know which side Im on.....IT'S A F**KING CHRISTMAS MOVIE!

Things you learn from die hard:

    - make fists with your toes after getting off a plane
    - never take your shoes off in an office that you are unfamiliar with, even if you want to make fists with your toes
    - always have some spare FBI guys just in case they blow up in a helicopter
    - when fighting an enemy threaten to kill, cook then eat them in that order
    - when you hang somebody with a chain, they may not be dead
    - only ever count to three , there should not be a 4

Went to see this with a friend in lighthouse cinema a few years ago and it was packed. Great fun on the big screen.

Will prob watch again over the holidays as it’s about as Christmassy a movie as you can get.

Mans marriage in tatters at the start, by the end he’s gone on a turbulent journey to redemption which repairs his relationship with his wife and he will now get to spend the holidays with his family.

I’d like to put a name down for a friend.

He tells everybody his name is Bill Clay but it’s not. Just humour him or he will count to three and lose his sh*t.

    https://www.theactivetimes.com/home/n/die-hard-relaxation-hack-actually-brilliant (article from 2018)
In the opening moments of the classic action movie Die Hard, which turns 30 years old this year, a visibly anxious John McClane (Bruce Willis) gets some sage words of advice from the guy sitting next to him on an airplane: “You want to know the secret to surviving air travel? After you get where you’re going, take off your shoes and your socks, and you walk around on the rug barefoot and make fists with your toes…. Better than a shower and a hot cup of coffee.” Of course, as soon as McClane gets to Nakatomi Plaza, he takes off his shoes and socks, makes fists with his toes… and ends up barefoot for the entire movie, which proves to be quite inconvenient for him.

But were those words of wisdom from his anonymous seatmate, credited as “Businessman” and played by actor Robert Lesser, actually any good?

To find out, we reached out to experts in both Western and Eastern medicine — Dr. Ernest Isaacson, a New York-based podiatrist; and healer and creator of WAMBI (Wisdom through Awareness and Mind Body Integration) Hanson Tse.

“Being barefoot is a great way to feel one’s way around new surroundings, and by removing the protective covering of our shoes it also establishes a level of trust to the new digs, which is comforting, relaxing, and just feels good,” Isaacson told us. “Walking barefoot takes us back to our primordial roots, and allows the many nerve endings on the bottom of the feet to make contact with the ground, thereby establishing a real tactile connection to our new surroundings.”

This is one of my favourite scenes in Die Hard because of one very small detail - the bet exchange between karl and theo.:D

There are so many little details in the movie if you just keep your eye out for them you see something new every time :)

Im sure basic knowledge would be fine. Most games can be plsyed with no knowledge, but knowing the film can make it more fun.

Thst said, everyone has knowledge of Die Hard right?

If not, I urge you to watch it whether you play the game or not. Its a classic.

    Welcome aboard KG.

Or to put it another way ....

In depth definitely not needed - It's a fairly standard game of werewolf with some creative license on my part.

i never actually gave any thought as to whether i was doing this anon or non-anon, so I'll PM everyone and ask each person if they want an anon account or just to use their main account. I know some people would fancy their survivability better as anon and some people just prefer the convenience of posting on their own account :)
