Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone use these ? And if so which one have you got and would you recommend it .
Looking at ordering one with a mat for the back garden .
I’ve no doubt I’ll use it as I spent a lot of time out there practicing swinging a club , be nice to be able to strike a ball

I got one from networld sports last Christmas. Great purchase.. also got a mat to save the lawn. 2 excellent purchases. Have got great value out of them.

The net is 7 foot by 7 foot. It can be taken apart and put away at night but I just tip mine over and put some weight on it and its fine.

It can take a driver impact but I only use irons just in case i ever had a massive mi****.

It cost 69 when I got it but thinks its selling for 129now, covid demand.

    Highly recommend it.

I priced around and these were very competitive.

€70 for the net and €80 for the mat, no complaints here after a month or so. You'll definitely get better quality out there but it's doing the job.

Free delivery via courier. BUT despite the name, the order is coming in from the UK, so keep that in mind. Think mine arrived 2 weeks after ordering.

Can this free stand on hard ground or would it need stakes to hold down. This is one i am interested in .

Just to confirm, it is the "FORB" golf net from networldsports. Yes, it is free standing. Can easily take a full power shot. It has two stakes to pin it down if it's windy.

I was very impressed with it.

    Is it this mat?

How would it compare to what you would see in a driving range for example?

Not a chance I'd have the confidence to set up anything more than a chipping mat in my garden, let alone house!

That's the one, the base is 10mm so it's not going to be as kind to your wrists, compared to a range mat in the long run, I imagine. I added some old underlay and a rug underneath just to add some extra forgiveness. I terms of the durability of the "turf", no issues so far but it only has had a month's use.

It's much better than this imo, which is in a similar price bracket

It states 13mm but most of that is artificial grass and very little rubber as far as I can see.

In terms of higher end / range like mats, I wasn't tempted to go up to €400 odd for this. I think some underlay underneath bridges the gap considering the price difference.

Photo attached of set up. Added some astro carpet and hung some tarp on the rolling door frame (probably not needed).

For approx €165 all in, it's money well spent imo. The kids are using it more than myself, the range visits were becoming expensive when getting them buckets as well.

Shed has been given a tidy since!!!

I was thinking to stick one of these underneath it to help with that.

1m x 1m @ 15mm of rubber for €25 and it seems very similar to the base of range mats.

Would certainly do the trick, might get one myself. Before I found some underlay I had a look at some similar rubber mats and they said this might be better! A cow mat!!!

    https://www.homeland.ie/farming/animal-equipment/housing/77545/cow-mat-straight-edge-18m-x-115m-x-25mm

Top is smooth, bottom has grip -1.8m × 1.15m and 25mm thickness.

Could double up as a mattress of sorts for some of the least favoured in-laws.

That's class!!! Over time you should add a telly and strike sensor.

No TV but I forgot to mention that I picked up a Swing Caddie SC200 during the summer so that is getting good use.
