Black Friday: Best Irish Deals

Here's the best I've found so far. Please add your finds!

Amazon: Not exclusively Irish & an obvious one, but the Alexa dot & firestick in particular are great buys at €20. They are ocassionaly reduced to €25, which is also a great price.

Currys: SAMSUNG QE43Q60TAUXXU 43" Smart 4K. Really good deal at €579. Only on for Black Friday day itself.

Hotels: There's lots of Irish hotels offering discounted gift cards. A good idea for supporting locally for Christmas. The Irish Examiner has an article "The best Irish shopping deals this Black Friday" which lists all of these. Wineport Lodge in Athlone, good buy at 15%.

Independent.ie: Full year subscription to Indo for €69.99 household subscription (up to 5 devices). I would go with Premium+ because it gives the ePapers app which has a bunch of other titles included. 52% off until Monday.

Argos: Lots of deals covered in other threads. I haven't seen too much stand out that isn't on Amazon. The do have a good reduction on lego though.

Gamestop: Huge discounts on xbox games. Also 25-35% reduced across the board on gift type items for christmas.

Not advocating bulk buying - obviously buy what you need if it's a good deal for you today! :) Anything else anyone else has spotted?

Dainty Bear, Ireland's online store for baby clothes, christening gifts & accessories has 20% off for black Friday with code "BLACK20"

It is owned and run by an Irish woman from Monoghan and here is her story for anyone interested.

Full disclosure she is a family friend and really is a great small Irish business to support.

Currys have 20% of Chromebooks at present.
DISCOUNT CODE: 20% Off selected Chromebook.
Enter code CBOOK20 at checkout Must end soon!

^^^ They had a different code yesterday, that was reducing the price to zero in error.

Ordered myself the lenovo IdeaPad Duet
So for the 128gb version @ €335.20 seems like a very good price.
^^^ No longer available to Order.

These little leather shoes are stunning. I really want to buy some shoes for my new niece/nephew who is on the way but we're not sure of the sex of the baby yet. I think I might go for a pair of the unisex ones. Thanks for sharing!

Update - Just purchased! You got your friend one sale anyways :)

I've been keeping an eye on the LG CX models, and they've been around the €1500 mark for more than a week now. I wouldn't be swayed too much by the savings. Ended up getting a 65" version in DID.

Jeez don't be mad at looking at RRP from Harvey Normans or any other electrical retailer in Ireland.
That price is not 650 off...

According to Harvey Norman, the "was" price is the RRP and not the price HN have been selling the item(s) for.
Adrian Weckler in the Irish Indo today was disputing their "was prices" for their Black Friday discounts and they replied back with the RRP argument.
He has an article all about it in the paper but it's premium so can't post it.

    DID
In one case, a 75-inch Samsung TV offered by DID Electrical at a Black Friday ‘saving’ of €750 is exactly the same price as before its Black Friday sale started.

Yeah I have been keeping an eye on the LG CX 55" and it was €1599 on the 21st of October.

Decent price at the moment but not nearly the saving they are advertising.

Letsgetchecked - an Irish owned Home Health test company has a 40% off sale. Not the usual "gift" but they offer a brilliant service and a variety of tests from Vitamin deficiency to Cholesterol to Bowel cancer screening.
