Leicester getting another lesson from LFC missing many first team players.

Are Leicester themselves not bolloxed with injuries tbf? A lot of teams are really struggling desperately with injuries others squads coping ok.

And if I pick them in Fantasy they are doomed to break.

Never expected 3 goals without reply.

Think Rodgers got the tactics wrong. He looked to try and counter it seems. But think he needed to apply pressure to the back line. They were never tested.

    Milner was outstanding though

Super performance and result from Liverpool given the missing personnel.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Shaq and Ox wouldn't of started would they?

Leicester are missing loads as well

Edit: Mostly defensive players for Leicester it seems. Pereira,Soyuncu, Amartey and Ndidi I think they're all starters

Not sure if Amartey is regularly.

Klopp waited to use 2 subs in the 89th minute. Jog on with your 5 subs :pac:

Mrs Vardy the only winner in that house this week.

When's the last time we had 3 headed goals in a game?

Fair point. There's a clear hypocrisy there alright and I hope he gets pushed on it by journalists.

Liverpool are an impressive outfit even with a tonne of injuries

Was hoping Leicester could get a result considering but Liverpool dominated

No denying that they are the best team in the league

The best team in the league in second place.

    That's a new one.

Could have been a different game if Leicester took the game to Liverpool instead of sitting back. They entered that game with a small team mindset. If they are to be considered serious contenders for the title or even champions League places they need to show up consistently against the big boys. The counter attacking worked against Man City and led to a freak result but they looked completely one dimensional tonight and the frustrating thing is they definitely had the players to properly take the game to Liverpool but Rogers firmly put the shackles on.

Are you seriously gonna go there with that line of thinking? Sure Villa were the best team in the league a few weeks back so.

Jaysus did you think Everton were realistically the best team in the league earlier on?

Liverpool are head and shoulders above the rest including City

Awesome performance by Liverpool. Blew Leicester away all over the pitch. Fantastic.

The best team in the league in second place.

Second place, on goal difference, to a team they haven't played yet this season but have beaten 5 times in a row including a Champions League final.

Getting walloped 7-2 by Villa would suggest otherwise.

Ah yes the 500/1 thing happen suggests otherwise. Of course

No no, that result and that result alone defines where the team is at.

Van Dyk was playing that day though. Clearly the weak link..

Strange that all the focus has been on Liverpool's injuries. Leicester were equally hit with absentees from their squad. Liverpool's depth meant they could still start 7 players that started the Champions final. Dominant display by them today.

They weren't equally hit with injuries. That's bollox. Liverpool's squad depth did play a role in minimizing the impact of the losses though.

Eh? A team can't be both head and shoulders above the rest, and also lose 7-2 to opponents that finished 17th last season.

That’s a bit simplistic- they’re missing their captain, their top scorer for the past 3 seasons, their highest assist player, the best centre back in the World and Thiago. And 3 others. And lost another early in the 2nd half.

Yes they can. Freak results happen.

What happens if Liverpool won the remainder of their games? Would they be head and shoulders above the rest then? Or everybody just not Villa? You're being so pedantic towards one result.

Liverpool look superior to everyone by a good distance is that more precise?

They made Leicester look like nobodies and they didn't even have 3-4 of their best players.

They were hardly delving into the youth teams for starters tonight. 3 Brazilian internationals out there, an African player of the year, the best left back in the league by miles.

I think most of the best Premier league sides were so becuase of the quality throughout the squad. The great United sides could replace Yorke and Cole with Ole and Teddy then they had Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez Berba, Park Nani all vying for the front three places in the later side and or Jose's Chelsea had an endless supply of midfielders in Duff Robben, Cole, SWP, Lampard, Essien Makelele, Diarra, Thiago Mendes ect.

Being able to replace quality with quality is the key to keeping consistency through injury spells.

I'm gonna apply the same lack of context and intellectual honesty in my arguments that you do and say they lost 5-0 to them last season and absolutely pissed the league.
