Usual embarrassing crap from football players.

I enjoyed France v Scotland there, real sport.

Arteta gets away with murder because he talk and looks the part, proper perception over reality stuff with him.

If he had a thick Yorkshire accent and was a bit heavy set he'd be favourite in the sack race right now, but he's escaped any real criticism thus far despite thoroughly average results.

If that's united, it's given as a penalty.

I think we'll have to see a bit later on in the season.

They've won 4, lost 4 from 8 games, with 3 of those losses coming against Liverpool, City and Leicester.

Things are a bit easier with the tough games coming up including Chelsea, Everton and Spurs, and the rest being ostensibly "winnable" games.

Don't think there's any particular reason to fall one way or another on them yet.

Arsenal should feel blessed to get out of this game with a point.

Leeds finishing has been so poor

Good result for Arsenal considering the situation Pepe put them in. Although I feel the result was more Leeds not taking the chances that fell to them than great defending by Arsenal.

Don't see that against Arsenal everyday

I think that's a heck of a nosedive in standards if you're writing off games such as Leicester at home as acceptable loses, a side they've a far higher wage bill than and spent infinitely more than in recent years.

I think he deserves more time but always find it fascinating how impressions can buy or cost a manager time/criticism.

I think there was a stat mentioned after the last Arsenal game where they pointed out they are creating very little. Something like three shots on target per PL game average this season.

They're not really far behind where they should be based off the quality of their squad, despite what some deluded Arsenal fans think. Their squad is bang average and that's down to awful recruitment. Wenger and Emery are top tier managers and if they can't get them where some deluded people think they should be then Arteta won't either. The problem lies much deeper than the manager.

Penny for Aubameyang’s thoughts on that new contract he signed.

I'm sure he is thinking of all the pennies he's getting.

Hes not done a tap on the pitch since he signed it.

Arteta looks out of his depth. Awful football that is unbecoming of Arsenal and now it seems he's throwing his players under the bus. We know what often comes next. I don't see an upgrade from Emery, who incidentally is sitting 3rd in La Liga.

This game has silly scoreline potential, if one of them sets the tone with an early goal it could get ridiculous.

He's well aware he signed up for a project. He's one of the big players in the project, and we've to build our team around him. He's in it for the length of his contract, and while frustrated at individual games, he knows it's not on instant hit that Arteta is expected to instill.

Of the 4 games we've lost, at the start of the season, every arsenal fan would have predicted a loss away to Man City and Liverpool and Leicester would have been out down as a possibility also. Villa is a shock, but these things happen. No one expects world beaters from the squad we have, but Arteta will be given time to get his team together and that has already started this season with two very big additions. Apart from the usual moany hoors there aren't many arsenal fans on here calling for an end to the project.

I'd say you'd have to go back a long way to think of a manager with a Yorkshire accent, or any English regional accent, holding the FA Cup. Joe Royle?

Well that's a handball against most premier League clubs imo

Certainly movement towards the ball, the distance saved him I'd say.

Liverpool look pretty comfortable so far. Surprised Leicester didn't try and set the pace early

Barnes needs to at least hit the target there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

    Thought that was definitely 1-1.

Each team so decisive on the ball, really good moves on show

Thought the two Liverpool lads could have scored there without giving schmeichel the chance to go down

Great Leicester move there close again

Fofana look pretty special for a teenager. Leicester's recruitment consistently so good.

    That's a brilliant goal.

Robertson looking as good as Digne here :pac:
