That was Rochies fortie, the level of analysis he went into on the high level opposition was phenomenal. Horan in his first tenure only had one way of playing and I'm beginning to think it's the same with this one. Rochie had a horses for courses approach and adapted for the opposition. Horan doesn't seem to want to do this as I believe he considers it a weakness rather than a strength.

Rochford never did anything radical in the finals vs Dublin. It was always man to man pretty much.

Horan played Paddy Durcan wing forward on Jack McCaffrey last year and it worked well. We just weren't good enough elsewhere on the field.

Brian Fenton is really dominating in the middle of the park for Dublin. He seems to be getting better and better. Brings our problems there into sharp focus.

Changing a perfectly in form goalkeeper out of the blue was pretty radical!

We should be beating either of this teams handy
But you know we will play to their level and make very hard work of it

It's an open game, that's about as generous as I can be.

Real lack of quality or intensity to it, bar the odd bit of individual flare from Tipp.

Good win by Tipp. Cork had it won in their own heads like they did with us back in the AI QF before.

Tipp will give us a good solid game that is for sure. Expect it to be similar to the other games with fitness should be a key factor with the bench.

RTE giving the presentation plenty of air time.

Tipp will give us a good game, but I did think they looked like they were running out of steam in the last 10 minutes or so. Their midfield looked very handy though and Quinlivan and Sweeney will be a handful.

Or workrate and intensity are miles ahead of anything tip have even with or new players.
I suspect they will make us fight like dogs for it but fight we will.
Also that Dolan is some dose

We thought the same thing in 2016 but were reliant on a fortuitous second goal to make the game comfortable.

The qualifier game in 2018 was another one that we struggled for long periods in ( mindful we'd a long injury list and an onerous qualifier schedule ).

Loads of quality in the Tipp team.

Nonetheless I thought it was a poor enough contest today,Cork were very disappointing today.

We'll bring 70 minutes plus intensity. Our lads have the legs to go for same.

Nice to see the after match scenes in the Tipp game. 85 years since their last provincial title. They have plenty of potential to cause us problems if given the chance

That was so typical of Cork football, always the big men as underdogs but can’t handle the smallest bit of expectation or pressure.
Where Will Cian O Neill be off to next I wonder? Tipp? He hasn’t been up North yet has he?

Fox had a great game for them but can't see him having the same joy in the middle third vs ourselves, he looked fairly goosed coming off after 60 as well.

Happy to see Tipp win and while they'll offer more of a threat, it'll be a better game of football. Cork were woeful today, and they were the same vs Kerry if truth be told.

I think thats because of the 1.30 start - means they have lots of time to show it.

I don't think Mayo has any right to thing we've the God given right to beat Tipp. The worst thing we could do is underestimate them.

Remember Mayo is in transition, how will the younger players deal with being favourites and playing senior for the first time in Croker.

I believe the inference being made is that there was next to no coverage of Aidan O Shea collecting the Nestor Cup.

Totally understandable the amount of coverage today nonetheless

Dont be putting words in people's mouths any1 that knows anything about gaa know theres no handy game in crocker especially for a place in the all Ireland final

We struggled against Tipp both in Croker and Semple in the recent past. They have what I term 'x-factor' players who can produce those moments of magic. Very cohesive unit but what you have to look at is how they struggled for the first 18mins of the second half. Had a good 10mins and then struggled to hold on for the last 10mins. Matchups will be vital.

Sick of playing Semi Finals against Tipp :)

    Cant see mayo losing
Barrett and Keegan and Durcan will stifle that tipp attack

Up front mayo are a far better running team than what cork have to offer

    Mayo by 5-6

I'd be fearful that either team will be eaten alive by Dublin which could set them back.

I wouldn't. Ourselves or Tipp would be under no pressure going to play Dublin in an AI Final, everyone would be expecting a handy Dublin. For ourselves, it would be a great opportunity for the younger players to get that experience under their belt. Also, who knows, every footballer in Dublin might come down with covid and they'd have to forfeit the game.

I’m feeling good after seeing that,we should prepare well but nothing to fear.

I’d like to see us put a high score in the first half and put the match to bed and then do some experimentation to prepare for the Dublin / Donegal final in the 2nd half. Wide pitch will suit us and it’ll be the only game there before the final so we shouldn’t waste this opportunity

You're missing your "This could be our year" sign off there.

We are so lucky to have Clarke under a high ball
He will be appreciated when he is gone
Pattens kickouts won’t be much use now will they !
