Vince going to take a cut of Sasha's money from The Mandalorian I wonder.

Maybe the reason she is credited by her real name is to stop the WWE taking a cut.

Wouldn't say Vince is getting any of it.

The situation is strange, if you look at twitter handles Vince doesn't seem to have a problem with his roster using their real names.

To be fair on the Twitch thing, while he was heavy handed you can get why it would freak him out, because it's already been proven that some of the people using it are absolutely dim and capable of saying anything live, and it would be WWE that would take the heat for it.

It's probably SAG-related. I remember hearing on a few podcasts how it's a big thing to get into that union, specifically for the health insurance, so using her real name doesn't muddy any water when/if she's joining it.

I'm going to assume that she's already a member.

I suppose Mercedes "Sasha Banks" Varnado would be too much of a mouthful

Not a hope. The top brass at Disney will tell where to go. This isn’t some two bit outfit where Jerry mcdivitt can do his party piece.

Probably got the news, then had that tweet ready to go.

Don't blame Zelina, her social media game is A+ that will last way beyond any contract wwe.

Fair play to her. That's a big development.

Wonder who else will follow her example?

Could see someone like Xavier following her. WWE will probably tell him they'll always use him but it would still pale in comparison to what he'll earn on his channels.

Dunno, a large part of Woods' channel is having WWE wrestlers on it. If he leaves WWE will put a stop to that, or try to.

I don’t want to bring politics in here, but I suppose I have but now that there will a new government in America in the new year, hopefully these independent contractors contracts WWE use will be sorted out because having read one or two of them, there’s **** all independent about the wrestlers who sign them. They are employees. I mean all major sports leagues and actors have unions so it’s time for Vince and WWE to move into the 21st century. The way the handled(or didn’t) the twitch stuff shows how behind the times WWE are in regards to lots of things.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

It’s not just wwe that uses independent contractors them roh, aew all use it but wwe take the worst advantage of it but it’s the industry itself that needs changing

Imagine how sanitised and corporate those streams will be. Wrestlers will be contracted to be advertise Raw/Smackdown at least 4 times per hour etc.

They'll have an stream agenda that they won't be able to veer off.

Fully expect ongoing feuds to be continued over Twitch with sarky comments from wrestlers.

Meltzer is reporting that Vega was making more money from social media that she was from the WWE so she chose social media over the WWE and would not hand over her Twitch so they had to fire her.

He also noted the WWE weren't happy that she set up a Only Fans account as well after they said they would take over Twitch.

I would imagine there are a few in the WWE making better money through social media than they are being paid by the WWE.

Saw Sean Ross Sapp tweet the same thing. Fair play to Zelina anyways, stood her ground.

Taker is on Cameo and the charging £1k for a 20 second clip and the WWE aren't getting a cut.

Sack a female talent however let a male legend under contract do whatever he wants

My stance has changed somewhat. Wrestler's Twitch/Cameo money shouldn't be touched by WWE but if you're on a TV show that in part caters to kids how can you be surprised when you are reprimanded for selling semi-nude pictures on a porn site?

Is this Zeina you’re referring to about pics?

Can Onlyfans really be classed as a porn site? I mean sure it's popular with sex workers, but it's more than just sex workers who use it.

    Of course it can. That's how it viewed by practically everyone. Someone on Twitter put it better than I could;

Saying Onlyfans isn't just for porn is like saying people read 50 Shades of Grey for its literary merit. There may be a handful but we all know what it's for.

    Taker joins TicTok now...

Once the most protected character in wrestling history now it will be the most shilled out character.

No it's just another form of social media Twitter has more porn on it than Porn Hub.

Bella Thorne who is a Disney star made $2m in a week on OnlyFans just putting up Instagram pics.
