Sheep wasting Silage

    Hi All,

    Looking for tips or the best feed barriers to minimise sheep pulling through silage onto slats!

    We have tombstone barriers here and find them good.

    Who did you get the tombstone barriers from? Are they any better at keeping lambs from coming out of pens?

    I was on a farm in England where they had 2inch by 2inch mesh on wooden frames left down on the silage , ewes had to pull it through the mesh, it's about the best I've seen for reducing waste

    Bit late now,but get it chopped going into the bale.....its in circa 3 inch bites then


    Biggest issue,is restricting ewes to stop over-eating and prolapses etc
