This is definitely going to be my strategy next time :(

But it rarely works anymore, because too many people go for the same strategy. You need to constantly change how you opt to play it in fairness.

Something a more bit light-hearted now. After my error with Time Magazine I've double and triple checked the options here and can confirm that they are all definitely fictional.

    8. Fictional
    H4uPlhj.png

    Top Row:
Philip J Fry – From Futurama. Shut up and take his money!
Postman Pat – Full name Patrick Clifford. Has a black and white cat.
Desperate Dan – From British comic The Dandy.
Light Yagami – From the Death Note anime/manga franchise.

    Bottom Row:
Dr. Manhattan – From DC Comics’s Watchmen comic book series
Charles Montgomery Burns – From The Simpsons. Owns Springfield’s Nuclear Plant and is in no way connected with the enigmatic stranger Mr. Snrub, who comes from some place far away.
Rick Sanchez – Titular character from Rick and Morty.
Lord Maximus Farquaad - From Shrek. Possibly compensating for something.

According to Wikipedia: "As Chancellor of West Germany, Brandt was acknowledged for "seeking to bring about a fresh relationship between East and West" through his "bold approach to the Soviet Union and the East Bloc"

I think the Yanks liked West Germany moving to democracy (and capitalism), while East Germany remained decidedly communist.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Farquaad Lord Mayor of Cork?

Well done to Collie D who gets a good Ace here with Parnell. Unlucky here for Hello 2D and davetherave, who both had the right idea when it came to guessing Parnell* but landed on the wrong name.

*unless they were looking at someone else, in which case they were horrible guesses!!

I'm going to make a judge's call here and award LadySkunk an Ace; as nobody went for Paul Mescal, I deem her answer to be an acceptable synonym.

Reberetta still holds a seven-point lead over Zaph and Sheirdan81 going into the final round. Will he hold on for victory, or are we set for final sprint from one of the chasing pack?
    Perhaps

And will LadySkunk surprise us all with an epic final answer that gets her off the bottom of the table?

Before I reveal the full results, well done to HeidiHeidi for getting the sole Ace in the final round:

    ACES - 1:

    Michel Barnier - HeidiHeidi

Hard luck to ...Diamonds of Frost, who had done very well up until now but perhaps focused too much on just the hair in the last round!

And best regards to LadySkunk who ends the game doing what she does best; being wrong.

    INCORRECTS - 9:

Luke Kelly - and in the morning Diamonds of Frost
    Stretch Armstrong - LadySkunk
