Their are very few televisions that have an Android operating system.

You would have to go up a few inches to a 43" like the Sony 43XH8196 coming in at 679 Euro

Thanks for for your response. I think I may be confused about the android part. I currently have a LG Smart TV that is unable to download new apps and only has a few apps pre-loaded. I want a smart TV around 40 inches that has an app store to download whatever apps I want. I should mention my budget is 300-400 euro.

Hi JR6.

All app store are limited to what you can download and each manufacturer have their own apps in the own store.

The Android operating systems will give a watered down version of the Google play store but it does not have anywhere near the content of the normal Play Store.
A television does not really have any onboard storage do is limited to what you can download onto it.

At the 300 - 400 Euro mark you would have to just use whichever manufacturers you went with own operating system and app store.

There are not too many 40" screen on the market and the starting point is usually 43"
