Looking to spend 500 on a decent android phone... Could anyone recommend one around this price point

There are so many phones at this price point now. You'll have to give more info. what do you use it for? Do you play games? Do you need a headphone jack? Do you like smaller or bigger phones? Is battery life or performance more important to you? How long do you plan on keeping it/how frequently do you upgrade?
