One documentary series on mental health paramedics in England focussed on the fact that in people with certain conditions, particularly certain personality disorders, required a tough love approach to management, literally a "your cure is in your own hands" approach, but of course these cases only to be determined only by psychiatric experts. The risk of completed suicide is relatively low in these particular cases, but there is no better management strategy than handing the tools back into their own hands to become progressively less dependent on summonsing help and more able to use their own learned strategies to manage their own crises, which can then become less frequent and severe with time.

Quite frankly I would not recommend anybody alone and not at least on a chat group like here, listening to this, especially at this time of year in this current situation. It's dangerous stuff.
