I'd hope car inshurdance prices will drop next year due to the national fleet being mothballed most of the year.

    Joe, like Ryan, never listens.

He has one eye on CNN the other on the goings on in Downing Street and one ear on New York radio.

She could hire a car in London and get the ferry home.

30 years ago most people her age used to get a bloody bus home from London for Xmas.

Two days of fixing every single piece of technology new and old in my folks house is usually enough for me too in fairness!
I love them but there is a reason I haven't lived at home since I was 18.

Can anyone match Duffy as the master of "doing a topic to death".

By which I mean, in equal measure, a) until it is past being well and truly done but also b) until an actual death is surfaced in the discussion.

I love Christmas to be honest.
Light the fire, hot chocolate, Christmas films, a wee drink.

Normally like seeing my folks, my sister and my niece and nephews. A couple of days max
Folks will be away this year, but I will go and see my sister to see kids and drop off presents.
I won't be going mad and I bet the vast vast majority of people will be the same.

    I don't know.

If I get the chance I'm going to the pub 5 or 6 days over Christmas. Its been a long 8 months stuck at home for all of us.

Ah, thanks for the invite, that's very nice of you. Give us your sister's address and I am sure you'll get a few of us to come along.

Strangely enough road deaths are up to date this year, despite people not meant to be travelling more than 2km and then 5km from their home for weeks and weeks.

" numbed with grief " at the loss of three pieces of wrapping paper for a fiver, no doubt!

Anyone who missed today's show listen to the last 5 minutes for the caller from New York, there 30 years and hasn't lost his south east accent.

It is worth the price of admission alone.

Christmas is an awful lonesome time of the year if you are alone.

However, the virus is very active and Leo has done the right thing.

Every adult should realize that they have to make a sacrifice and stay away.

If we all have a long life of 75 years - is it really a big ask to stay away and write off this year as a crappy year and hopefully when we beat this voirus we will have better days and our childre and their childer and their childers childer will thank us in years to come so to speak

Is Leo saying there might be better deals if people book later.
Fair play to him thinking of the public like that.

In a world of NetFlix, playstations, kindles, tablets the whole "stuck at home with nothing to do" is really wearing thin now.

Try growing up in rural Ireland in the 80s.

What are the odds that Leo will appear on reeling in the years in the year 2073 when they review the year 2020

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,040 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

Yes there's people driving crazy, their minds are elsewhere.

Add in people walking, running and cycling on the roads (that never did that before) and all the Dubs heading to the Wild Atlantic Way and finding its not a motorway and its a lethal combination.
