Such a simple question but when referencing the EU court in cases should you say CJEU or ECJ? I know the ECJ is just one of the courts of the CJEU but just want to make sure I'm referencing it properly.

I’m so screwed for contract today ahaha honestly don’t know why I find it even harder than Tort or Equity to pick out some of the issues. Rip

I felt the same yesterday morning - so I requested a refund for contract because I'e EU tomorrow and much more ready for EU...... Contracts is very difficult given the fact so many topics are mingled into different questions

Just finished contract there. Very handy paper I thought! Very simple essay Qs too, the penalty clauses one was a nice short one to fly through aswell

Now to uninstall that dodgy Proctorio software from my laptop.

Anyone who attempted Q1 did you also say that Cormac made a mistake a reasonable person ought to have known of and knowledge of his unilateral mistake would be imputed on Rebecca. Also for the Tom section I said she made an innocent misrepresentation, and despite the fact that the statement did form part of the contract I talked about how their positions to verify were differing in that Tom was an avid fan of that particular Marvel artist and was in a better position to verify.

Was just about to ask this. I thought you needed a medical certificate or something?

No medical cert required - anyone who didn't sit an exam this round entitled to refund after they are over, just email the law society

Said Cormac was unilateral as well... but... after reading your post I'll be back for contract anyway. I tried arguing that it (Tom trx) was a common mistake as to the subject matter. Blast.

For the essay question on the "termination of offers" were they asking for an essay on the different ways an offer can be revoked? Like lapse of time, revocation any time before acceptance, death etc.

That’s what I did it on! And then specific mention of firm offers cuz the Q said something about how can an offer be kept open

Yes said unilateral mistake and Rebecca was snapping up an offer, then I said innocent misstep but maybe negligent as it was the sole reason for entering the contract

Does anyone have tips for writing an essay on changes brought about by the Lisbon Treaty for EU tomorrow? What areas from other topics can be used to flesh out an answer? I'm pressed for time after the exam today and would really appreciate the help!!

Of course, they got the covid into it too! I predicted that weeks ago, forgot to study it haha! I felt underprepared before, during and after. Will keep studying until results to be on the safe side for the next sitting and my very last!

How hard does the Contract examiner mark? Heres hoping they give us the results before Christmas. It would be grand to know in advance to prepare for anything we failed. January doesn't leave us much time til March.

Anybody else just bring in whatever topics they could for some of them problems?

You can mention it helped with the democratic deficit by strengthening the powers of the EU Parliament. Discuss the Ordinary Legislative Procedure that was enshrined by Lisbon.

Lisbon introduced the citizens initiative (1 million citizens of multiple MS can invite the Commission to make legislation). Also allows the Commission to make legislation alone in 2 areas (State Aid and conditions EU nationals can reside in MS after working there).

Sorry thats all I can remember but the strengthening of the Parliament is the biggest thing.

Hopefully the law society will tell us their expected time frame for results. It's extremely optimistic but I would really hope to get them before Christmas because if we don't it would be very late to figure out what we're doing it we got them early January

Hopefully they also let us know what dates they are thinking of for the next sitting. I wonder will they be on a month later or the same time as usual

Does anyone know if the candidates that are supposed to be doing the hybrid in January are prioritised for the results the same way the candidates got their results earlier than the rest of us in August?
