    Standard practice. Takes a brave person to be a whistleblower in this country, you need to be prepared for everything being thrown at you and if you survive that then maybe someone might take up the case.

    I think it's far more likely that this is totally forgotten about in a few months, than it is to influence the next election.

    I don't think it's going to have much, if any impact on those that do vote FG as there was a real lack of any smoking gun and to be brutally honest, a real lack of substance.

    Paddy Cosgrave trying to insert himself into the story did it no favours either. It was all a bit daft in the end, a bit of a wishy washy message from the wrong messenger.

    Just emailed my local tds to express my disappointment that they support the leaking of documents. First time I've ever emailed them about anything to do with a vote. Based on the amount of interest in this in my friends and families chatter and at work, I think many feel the same way.

    The "nothing to see here" approach only heightens the ordinary man's disillusionment with politics. Politicians in established parties should take note, if people feel they've nothing to lose they'll vote for extremes and anyone who is remotely unsullied by the salachar of cronyism.

    If trump will be remembered for intensifying the polarisation of political discussion, I think golf gate, Varadkars leaks and the boulde woulfe might be looked at in the future as the catalyst for when the public said enough is enough.

    Who is it? That twitter thread doesn't say.

    I assume you aren't trying to imply that Varadkar and Harris are involved or aware of the scamming in any way? That would be a weird implication to make.

    Lads you can place this whole silly saga on to this list of things that the Pintman got right.

    Despite the bluster and grand predictions of governments falling and Leo being gone within days, it was a total damp squib.

    A lot of egg on posters of this thread's face. Embarassed themselves in a frenzied excitement reading tweets by that tool Cosgrave and that dodgy squealer Chat Bowes.

    Should've listened to the Pintman.
