Some nice additions. Lifted from Hotdealsuk

Gears Tactics (Android & Console) – November 9
Gears Tactics is the fast-paced, turn-based strategy game from one of the most-acclaimed video game franchises – Gears of War. Outnumbered and fighting for survival, recruit and command your squad to hunt down an evil mastermind who makes monsters.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light (Android & Console) – November 10
A new power is born out of the ancient Pyramid ship above Europa’s frozen frontier, and a dark empire has risen beneath, united under the banner of the Fallen Kell of Darkness, Eramis. Join your fellow Guardians and bring down the empire at any cost – even if it means wielding the Darkness itself.

Planet Coaster: Console Edition (Android & Console) – November 10
Welcome to a new era in coaster park simulation! Bring your ideas to life with easy-to-use tools, manage all aspects of your expanding empire, and harness the world’s best creations from an endlessly creative community in the Frontier Workshop. Guests react in real-time as you set prices, place scenery, and install exciting new attractions. Keep them entertained so attendance figures – and profits – skyrocket.

Tetris Effect: Connected (Console & PC) – November 10
Tetris Effect: Connected is the original game with all-new co-op and competitive online and local multiplayer modes! This is Tetris like you’ve never seen it, or heard it, or felt it before—an incredibly addictive, unique, and breathtakingly gorgeous reinvention of one of the most popular puzzle games of all time.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (Console & PC) – November 12
It is a time of war. The Republic of Galbadia, under the influence of the sorceress Edea, mobilizes its great armies against the other nations of the world. Squall and other members of SeeD, an elite mercenary force, join hands with Rinoa, a resistance fighter, to fight against Galbadia’s tyrannical rule and to prevent Edea from fulfilling her ultimate goal.

    Gonner2 (Android) – November 12
Joining the cloud gaming (beta) library on Android with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and available now on console & PC. The altruistic and unexpected hero Ikk is back and this time Death needs his help. Journey your way through deep dark chaotic places with unimaginable sparks of color as you go on a mission to help Death rid a mysterious presence from her lair. Battle crazy bosses, lose your head (a lot), in this messy, cute, fast-paced procedurally-generated platformer. In addition to the single-player journey to help Death, play the party co-op mode so you and your friends can lose your heads together!

Streets of Rogue (PC) – November 12
Streets of Rogue is a rogue-lite about player choice, freedom, and anarchic fun. The game takes inspiration from fast-paced top-down rogue-lites and adds free-form, experimentation-driven, emergent gameplay elements of immersive sims and RPGs. Rather than taking place in a dungeon, the game is set in a functioning, procedurally generated city, where complex AI informs denizens from all walks of life, who are just trying to get by in their daily activities.

Ark: Survival Evolved: Explorer’s Edition (Android, Console & PC) – November 17
Combining the base game (already available with Xbox Game Pass) with 3 massive Expansion Packs, Ark: Survival Evolved Explorer’s Edition is an ultimate way to get even more dinosaur action! The Explorer’s Edition gives you access to the mega hit Ark: Survival Evolved as well as the Scorched Earth, Aberration, and Extinction expansion packs, adding nearly 900 hours of gameplay! Each DLC is available for individual download as well.

Halo MCC: Halo 4 (PC) – November 17
Halo 4 joins The Master Chief Collection as the sixth and final chapter of the epic saga. Now optimized for PC, witness the Master Chief’s triumphant return to battle an ancient evil bent on vengeance and annihilation. Shipwrecked on a mysterious world, faced with new enemies and deadly technology, the universe will never be the same.

River City Girls (Android, Console & PC) – November 19
In this all-new entry in the legendary beat-’em-up series, hot-blooded heroes Kunio and Riki have been captured, leaving it to their hard-hitting girlfriends, Kyoko and Misako, to serve up some payback. As you punch and kick your way across town – either solo or with a friend in local co-op – you’ll gain new skills, chow down on power-ups, wield an assortment of weapons, and unleash an arsenal of combos, throws, and special attacks that will leave the bad guys crying for mama – all in outrageous 16-bit style! The awesome action is punctuated by manga story panels, anime cutscenes, and an epic synth-pop soundtrack. It’s an old-school rumble for a new generation!

Star Renegades (Android & Console) – November 19
Star Renegades is a strategy RPG about outsmarting AI-driven adversaries, forging friendships, and toppling galactic empires spanning over multiple generations. Fusing a reactive, tactical turn-based battle system that emphasizes interrupts and counters, with a procedurally generated and emergent mission-based campaign and an intelligent Adversary system with enemy officers that evolve and move up in the ranks, every playthrough is unique, challenging, and never the same.

EA Play Coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on December 15

This one isn’t a single game but a whole Play List of them for you PC players – coming December 15, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members will be able to download and play games from the EA Play library on Windows 10 PCs via the EA Desktop app currently in beta! If you’ve ever wanted to be a Jedi, ride around in a Titan, or join the Inquisition, now’s your time to shine (ok that was a pretty bad Bejeweled joke, even for me).

“We want players to access the games and in-game benefits they want, in the easiest way possible,” said Autumn Brown Sr. Director, Content Strategy and Partnerships, Electronic Arts. “This partnership with Xbox makes an impressive library of great Xbox and EA content more readily accessible. Our goal is to give players more choice to get more of what they love, and this is a way to do that.“

We’re all excited about EA Play coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC at no additional cost. It’s another huge library of games for you to play, so my apologies for all the time you’re going to spend updating your ordered play list (for those of you who are far more organized in your play time than me!).

EA Play Available on Xbox consoles with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Tomorrow

Starting November 10, EA Play will be available on Xbox consoles as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at no additional cost! EA Play is bringing more than 60 of EA’s biggest and best games like FIFA 20, Titanfall 2 and Need for Speed Heat, as well as some of EA’s most popular franchises like Battlefield, Mass Effect, Skate, and The Sims.

Select EA Play Games Available on Android via Cloud Gaming

We’re also adding these games to the growing list of titles available on Android via cloud gaming – they’ll be available beginning November 10:

    Dragon Age: Inquisition
    Madden NFL 20
    Mass Effect: Andromeda
    Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
    The Sims 4
    Unravel 2

So, get your Android devices ready to play. I’ll be shouting, “For the Inquisition!” right alongside you!

    DLC / Game Updates

Age of Wonders: Planetfall Paid DLC

Xbox Game Pass members can use their membership discount to get paid DLC up to 10% off! On November 10, Paradox will launch Star Kings, the latest expansion for the turn-based/4X strategy game, Age of Wonders: Planetfall. Leaving November 16

    Darksiders III (Console & PC)
    Munchkin (Console & PC)
The Talos Principle (Console & PC)

Basically stack 3 years of xbox live gold codes from where ever is selling them cheapest today, and buy a code for a month of ultimate to convert it to GPU. For 3 years should work out around 120-140 euro.

Just looking there the free month of Disney+ is valid until 31/1/21 so maybe worth waiting to claim it for a few weeks until season 2 of the Mandalorian is finished. Annoying they release that weekly.

Better yet might be handy for over Christmas.

Any idea of a site I should be looking at for stacking Gold?

I always just used CD Keys and my current Gold only has 3 weeks left to expiry.

Is this a glitch? So you are buying a code for 1 month of ultimate and it stays active for 3 years?

Not a glitch, buying 1 month of GPU converts all your existing subscription time for Gold and Game Pass 1:1 and EA Play 4:1 -60 days to Game Pass Ultimate.

Do the EU Xbox Live Gold codes work on Irish accounts? Looking at the one on CDKeys for €45.19 for 12 months.

Yes is the answer I actually bought 3 the other day to avail of the offer and it worked. I actually still have 1 year left as I was only able to load two years worth as I had 4 months already on the account.

If anyone wants to buy it off me for 45 let me know.

    Cheers

Long story short - You can buy one years EA Play for €20 and convert it to one years Game Pass Ultimate.

I bought three years EA Play from Shopto.net

I got the first two working - couldn't get the third going as they don't allow that for me

    My steps were

    1. Buy 1 Year EA Play from shop to
    2. Get the code
    3. On my PC change the time to a few days back
    4. Open the XBOX app on PC
    5. Click Profile -> Settings - > Redeem
    6. Enter the EA Play 12 month code ...a few times (keep doing it till it stops you)
    7. go back out to the main screen
    8. Close the app
    9. Reopen the app - check you account - should be + 12 months Games Pass Ultimate!

**I have one years EA Play that I cannot use - if anyone wants it for €20 - that's what it cost me, drop me a pm **

Will talk to anyone who has good feedback on adverts.ie. I can setup an ad.

Little help needed with couple of questions
Got Xbox series s today for little man for Christmas
Is a game pass a good option to have games for Christmas Day?
Can you recommend which game pass is best?
Do you download the games to console or stream?
How many games could a series S download?
What’s the best option for a second controller and why does it only come with one?
    How do the controllers charge?

I did something similar to this a few weeks ago ( https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=115106090&postcount=1506 - loads of whiners started crying about my post but never mind...) but bought 3 x 12 months of EA Play from the Hungarian MS store which worked out about €15 per 12 months.

Got 12 months of GamePass Ultimate a few days from it for €45 :)

Game Pass is highly recommended. Loads of choice on there. There is only Game Pass Ultimate. But up until last I checked the cheapest way to get it is to get a few years of 12 months Xbox Live subs and then convert them to Game Pass on the console for €1. No guarantee that offer will still be there at Christmas though.

You download the games on Game Pass. Unless you have very fast Broadband it might be worth powering up the console before Christmas day and downloading some games so he's ready to go on the day. I got Series X today and updates on some games are 70+ gb

Series S has 500gb HD so you might get 3 or 4 big games on there but you can get expandable storage.

Any Xbox controller will work with it as a spare. You can buy a play and charge kit for around 20 euro which are handy to have or else rechargeable batteries.

It's mental. Game is addictive but the visual effects mean I have to turn it off after about 30 mins or so for a while. Presume the batteries in the controller will be drained with the rumble pack going into overtime

It has to be tried to see what it is. Long way from the game boy I had back in the day.

I have Tetris Ultimate and think it’s absolutely brilliant. But there is nobody online to play against so thought I’d download Tetris Effect. I’ve only played it for half an hour, and need to figure out what the zone thing is, but it is being ruined by the background visuals, they are far too in your face for my liking
