Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Because they are evil and like money more than making us happy.

Basically they saw the massive amounts of money they were putting into projects like MGSV and the shareholders saw it as a massive risk. So they decided to reinvest in low investment high profit ventures such as their health and sports clubs. And then we lost on of the giants of the industry with one of the greatest libraries of any company.

Konami still make games. It's their most profitable activity.

They still make games for IOS and Android so they need the rights for these spin off titles.
Their revenue has increased since they stopped making expensive high profile games.

You would think they would sell some of their IP's to make even more less risk money then no? Sony and MS would easily duke it out for some of their big name games like Metal gear, Silent hill, Castlevania etc, no?

They get risk free money from licensing out the games right now to Pachinko machines and low effort mobile games that will pull in insane amounts; why jinx that and sell your golden goose when people are clearly stupid enough to happily throw money at them?

  • They lost Kojima

Video games are only a partial part of their income, they do real estate, playing cards, slot machines, gyms, sports gear, etc

Amusement systems and Gaming systems been their highest growth. [?]

Also not many studios will work with konami anymore because of their evil tactics with forbidding employees to list what games they worked on in their CV/Resumes and taking lawsuits against other publishers, developers who now employ ex konami staff and refusing the likes of kojima productions health care etc.

    just to name a few.
