i have an electric shower in bathroom and the shower in the ensuite is pumped. I want to increase the flow of the one in ensuite as the pressure is very poor, could i get some suggestions as to how i could do this. its an old Mira 88, would it be more expensive to upgrade to new electric shower or use existing shower or new upgrade with an additional pump. I understand ive to get a priority board in order to have 2 electric showers and was quoted about 1k. thanks for any info

I opted for a salamander pump with a rain head shower which uses immersion tank and hot water and if i run out of hot water still got my old slow triton as backup.
Have you checked for flow through hose with head removed as my mira is old and not great when compared with a rain head.

You can replace the workings and face plate on the mira 88. It would look like new & should last decades. You can then put a good quality pump on this. Depending on the layout of your plumbing you could do all of this for around the same price you were quoted for the new electric shower.

The real question then is do you want another electric shower with instant hot water or a power shower where you will need to heat your water first. Personally Id opt for the power shower. You'd have the best of both worlds with an electric & power showers
