I listen to RTÉ radio one via Alexa devices through tune in and dedicated RTÉ Alexa app and Irish radio player . Getting a lot of sound dropouts while listening to station doesn’t seem to happen when I listen to other Irish stations online . Anybody else find this happening as well ?

    All other stations are fine.

That will be an RTE issue. Google Home and Alexa devices just direct users to the internet radio stream provided by the broadcaster.

So I suggest reporting the issue to RTE, although I doubt there will be any response from them.

I would have thought with the amount of general staff and technical employees that RTE employ, one of them might have noticed and reported it. The issue has been happening for a while now.

I listen to RTE Radio 1 every day on a 'Pure' internet radio - no dropout issues noticed.

Best thing to do is email RTE.

RTE have two methods of delivering audio to listeners online. There could be an issue with one of the systems on certain devices under some circumstances.

On their "legacy" streaming system, RTE Radio One are serving 18,000 listeners at the moment. In comparison, RTE 2fm is serving 3,500. I can't check their newer system, but would expect a similar ratio.

Had the same experience, lot of drop out the last morning. On a FTTH connection so and everything else streams without issue so much be on RTÉ side.
