    Can any one tell me if changing the dashboard on a 1983 model to a 1985 would that effect the electrical in the car or is it safe to have it changed looking to buy an 83 944 but it has a 85 dashboard on it so just wanted to see if it's good or bad

    So long as it works, what's the issue - the later 'oval' dashboard is far better looking.
