Here's a question, let's say Trump wins the election, but the Democrats take both the house and the senate.

Surely that means they'll just impeach him for anything and he's gone?

think you need 66 votes in the senate to remove

They won't have the numbers to convict and remove in the senate.

Ohio still has 40% to count but currently in favor of Biden.

Same rigmarole as Florida though. Early votes favoring Biden (although I'd argue not by enough) and urban areas being counted first which also lean Biden.

Trump will take the rural counties, but he needs a strong turnout there.

I still think Trump has a good chance of taking North Carolina and Ohio. I think Biden should be further ahead with the early votes.

No, you need a 2/3rd majority in the Senate.

Ah gotcha. I thought you only needed a majority.

    Makes sense, thanks.

    RTE coverage is desperate.

It would be ironic if Trump won the popular vote but lost the election through the electoral vote college
An ending for Donnie worthy of being written by Shakespeare himself

Can someone tell me how Biden won Virginia with fewer votes?

The urban vote in northeast is a tsunami over the tiny other rural counties.

NYT now says 88% chance of NC going Trump

I think CNN are starting to factor in the early voting factor to viewers now. Talking about how tonight is "complicated" and "different" to other years. Trump is catching up during the late counts and they know it.

The early voting figures for Biden are poor.

I think CNN getting nervous. Showing us all good stuff from other states but not showing us what's happening where it matters.

But if Dems have the majority in both houses they can pass a a law to change that?

They've been repeating it all evening, from the very first time they presented the map.

They hate Trump. I don’t get their approach to coverage. The votes have been cast and they just keep trying to big up Biden’s chances. Just report the bloody stats and results.

Georgia still has A LOT of vote to come in from the cities. Can't be called either way for a while.

I'm switching off BBC. They're trying to dramatize Texas, by saying it could turn blue. Not a hope.

    * Turn blue as in, turn into a blue voting state generally.

John King is falling faster than Biden's leads now, fair play to him. No human could keep up the pace he started with.

Texas is surly safe for red.
