    I noticed that the live footage thumbnail of us in the top left corner seemed to blink every 1.5-2 minutes. Maybe this is the screenshot they use to track where our eyes are at? Anyway, I had the Neighbour’s children rip off plaster from my landlords wall, let off fireworks and scream for most of my exam. 2020 going gr8 thanks for asking

    Got an issue saying work not saving. Contacted Law Soc who said I could take pictures of my answers just in case there was any issue with submitting. Went to take picture and it logged me out saying my time was up despite having 15 minutes to go. Work was not submitted and now it is showing that I never took the exam. Christ sake!

    Are we expected to make any sort of announcement if we need to use the bathroom during the exam?

    Did you not see the auto save notification every 2 minutes on the top right? Because chances are it did save it somewhere as if you were able to access the examination boxes you’d automatically be auto saved

    Were we not supposed to get 3.5 hours ... I didn’t get my paper till 10:25 and then got logged out so why didn’t we get the 25 minutes back

    How did everyone find the system today? I understand there were some issues with some people not being able to log in/logging in late?

    Paper itself was actually okay I thought, but the system was a bit of a disaster really.

    When I was waiting for it to start the timer said 3 hours so I rang to inquire if this was a global issue and they told me to refresh (but it didn't change). When I got into the exam itself it reverted back to 3:30 but then the paper wouldn't load! Kept buffering and saying it's loading so I really hadn't a clue what to do then and none of the phone numbers we were given worked.

    I eventually refreshed it with what I was told to do by one of the helplines (press CTRL and F5) and this worked. I started the exam at approx 10:10 then. I was lucky because I was able to do all the questions well enough to a standard that I think should be fine, but losing that time and being unnecessarily stressed is a bit of a **** show. Helpline people at LS are very helpful so don't blame them!

    Yeah it has been saving away and then I encountered an issue which said there was an issue with saving. That’s when I tried to contact law Society about it but I was logged out before I could submit and now it says I never sat the exam. Waiting to hear back from law Society.

    Oh god this makes grim reading for us up for Company tomorrow :( So sorry to everyone who got messed around by the system, that's totally unacceptable. Getting worried about it it logging out before the 3.5hour mark too - I'm going to treat it as a 3hour exam tomorrow just to be safe.

    Because I think I missed the point of the Q didn’t link it back to compensation and usefulness for plaintiffs :/ can I ask what your approach was I’m rattled thinking about my answer lol

    Well that didn't quite go to plan! 3 essays is very unusual, and very obscure topics?! The paper didn't suit me.
    Plus I couldn't log in but it was sorted before 10. I see now an email from Law Soc advising that people would have extra time.

    I hope the stress of all the hassle didn't put you all off. And I hope the questions suited you.

    I kept looking all around the room for inspiration. Impossible not to. Also forgot myself and had a packet of sweets that I was happy out eating. If he looks at my recording he'll have a good laugh. (I also yawned about 50 times cause I had the heat on full blast).

    Look, it's a learning experience :p

    1. Essay on intentional torts and compensation;
    2. Essay on rescuers;
    3. Problem question on medical negligence;
    4. Problem question on Occupiers Liability;
    5. Problem question Causation;
    6. Problem question on Vicarious Liability;
    7. Problem question on Rylands (I think, didn’t do it);
    8. Essay question on product liability.

    I answered Q7 on nuisance. I was going to do Ryands by panicked and changed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Samuma

    For criminal, City Colleges night before notes pay particular attention to provocation and duress for gangs.
    Anyone have anything else you would specifically recommend?

    Also, does anyone have past exam papers? Thank you in advance.

    How did people find typing the exam as opposed to writing?

    I actually thought it was deadly because you can come back to a paragraph and add to it without making the mess you'd make if you were writing. The stress of typing fast did affect my spelling and grammar so that did take me like 5/10 mins to correct at the end. Overall tho I thought it was better than writing.

    Exam was grand but system is a disaster. I got logged out at 12:45 and it said I submitted my exam and I o my had 4 questions done. Got in contact with LS and they said I can get back in to finish it and that was 90 minutes ago. A bit ridiculous really but she said I was added to the list so I presume this is a common problem.
