Ciruit Breaker With Extension Lead?

    Extremely nearly killed myself, this morning. Wire in water situation (Think fish tank)

    I have a breaker in the wall socket. Extension reel then goes to the tank. Submerged electrical thing is in the tanks water. Plugged into the end of the reel.

    Should I put the breaker on the socket of the extension reel?
