That was a lovely dive from Salah in fairness. Maybe 0.8 seconds before the fall?

Thought it was soft if I’m being honest but then again it was no softer then the penalty United got against Newcastle last week.

    Brunoesque

Nah, Bruno doesn’t get touched when he goes down.

Can people not comment on a. Match or incident without the deflection of other teams.

Its either was a dive or not, no need for people to go off crying about other players or teams

I'm complementing the dive btw. You can do the same for Bruno next time he gets a soft one given your obsession with him.

Salah seems to be the only player in the PL expected to be kicked/pulled out of, and stay on his feet. Anyone else goes down under those circumstances and is called clever. The word diver is used when Salah does it.

In fairness, it's used whenever a United or Liverpool player wins a penalty to wind up the other fan base.

    Was it a foul? Yes
Did Salah use a bit of theatrics to make sure the ref would see it as a foul? Yes
    Was it a penalty? Yes

Well this is going to be an interesting decision.

    Surely Mane fouled the defender?

Edit: Goal not given. Unlucky for Jota he did excellent in the build up.

Mane goes under the keeper and the defender stands on the hand?

Mane missed the ball completely and took out the goalie

    He hit the defender

The defender was sliding to get the ball as well no?

No way that goal could stand. Mane never getting near the ball.

Yeh, Mane missed the ball and his leg hit caught the defenders which forced the ball to Jota? That's what I was looking at and that's why I think it was given as a free out.

Unless they're saying it's for a foul on the keeper. I've no idea. I just thought it was cause he missed the ball and caught the defenders leg slightly.

Ball was going to Jota off the keeper. I didn't think it hit the defender or Mane but I'd need to see it again.

That through ball from Shaqiri was absolutely incredible.

Liverpool so much better without Firmino.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

What's the story with the interfering law? I thought they changed it so that it doesn't matter if the player was involved in play?

More referring to Mane there, He stands still against the defender/ line of sight for keeper, is that not interfering?

Jota really deserves to start ahead of him lately. He's been a great signing.

Jota looks some bit of business, classy player.

What a ball and what a goal
Jota gettng to play more centra or at least end up there & with better attacker than at Wolves and he is an absolute baller

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,282 ✭✭✭fyfe79

Jota's stats at Wolves were comparable with Mane's stats at Southampton, at the same age. He could be that good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

I thought Jota was 28 or something. Only 23 fcking hell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,975 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Jota is cheering me up from missing out on Werner. Looks a class signing
