    I don’t know !! I emailed asking what the story is but I didn’t get a reply.

I don’t know if my laptop can operate the system and I’ve no way to test it until the practice link is available

It's between 10 and 2 tomorrow so you'll be able to test it then. I wouldn't panic just yet!

Yeah, it is the email yesterday evening said:

    Dear Candidate,

A practice/mock examination will be available between 10.00am and 2.00pm on Thursday 29 October. You can log on to the practice examination at any time during this period. This practice session is being made available to accommodate those candidates who could not attend the practice sessions held on 22 and 23 October and those candidates who would like another opportunity to familiarise themselves with the online examinations.

So I'm going to cover winding up for company but obviously running low on time - does anyone have concise notes, or even some tips on covering essential areas?
    Thanks!

What year was Feehan v Leamy?
Everywhere I can find says it was 2000 but none of the exam reports or sample answers mention it till 2012, even though the question came up several times between 2000 and 2012.
    Am I missing something?

Would anyone have a sample answer for directors duties or concise notes? Struggling to learn this topic. Willing to share any material for company if you need it. Thanks

Case was concluded in 2000, ignored until 2011 when people decided it mattered.

Does anyone know what generally happens if you don’t pass fe1s by the time your traineeship is due to commence?

Currently applying for a few - have 5 exams passed and sitting 2 next week. I was planning on applying to start blackhall 2021 but honestly the online system has thrown me right off, I’m nervous about passing these ones and have my toughest subject left for last next spring. I’m afraid of cutting it too close for a 2021 traineeship but also afraid firms wouldn’t be much impressed with my applying for 2022 with just 3 left... :/

    Any advice?

If you're more comfortable applying for 2022 I don't think firms would be put off by that at all.

When I was applying a lot of firms asked me if I was planning on taking time out to travel after the FE1's, before starting training and they seemed pretty surprised when I said no... it seemed like they would actually encourage that type of thing (obviously now there's guarantee's we'll be able to travel any time soon :( but none of the firms I interviewed with seemed to mind people applying for training contracts a couple of years down the line).

I applied in 2019 (in final year of college) and was initially offered a 2020 TC which only gave me one sitting for the FE1's - so when I asked to change the start date, I explained that I wanted to allow myself 3 sittings to pass the exams, just in case I needed three, and the firm didn't mind that (it's one of the big Dublin firms too and they were fine with that). And a lot of people who applied in 2019 with me got contracts for 2022 at that stage, so wayy in advance!

I wanted to give myself 3 sittings bc I thought it would be easier to have that conversation when accepting the contract rather than putting pressure on myself to pass in 1 or 2 sittings and having to tell them at the last minute that I haven't passed all 8 and I can't start my contract on time. I'd say just do whatever you're comfortable with - if you want to start in 2022 apply for that, if you're eager to get started in 2021 then put that down

I’m curious too. I’m running out of time to finish it all. I’ve done classification of offences, strict liability, sex offences, murder and manslaughter, nfoap act, property offences and bail. Omissions and insanity came up in March. Reckon they’d come up again?

Right to silence, access to a solicitor and arrest and detention could come up.

Does anyone have an up-to-date grid and recent exam papers/reports for Property?

I've been working from material that's a few years old so it would be super helpful to make sure I'm not totally out of the loop for next week. Any help is appreciated and will of course be reciprocated any way I can!

When I said bail I meant to add detention, pres of innocence, right to silence. Should also cover public order offences and offences against justice for those multi part q’s aswell as defences
