Fuse box clicking sound

    Hello everyone,

I hope someone here can give a little bit of advise before I call an electrician.

I live in an apartment, and we have a fuse box that usually makes a loud CLICK sound when the cheaper rate comes on and another CLICK sound when the cheaper rate stops.

It is currently in wintertime mode so it should click at 23:00 and again at 07:00, which it does correctly.

Today I have noticed it is making the same CLICK sound every 15 - 30 mins.

I researched it online, and all I can find is that there is a faulty wire and to call an electrician.

Is this really necessary or does someone know an easy fix/explanation?

    Many thanks in advanced.

The click is for the night or date rate, id expect you may have an apartment that has electrical radiators which are wired up for this purpose.

If however the clicking is constant as described have an electrician come out, that could be indicative of a short or faulty RCB. You dont want a fire hazard there.
