Have to say I think Robertson is extremely under rated

I'd go as far to say he's the best left back in the Prem since prime Ashely Cole,

He is right now far more complete player than Trent is

He was underrated 2 years ago.

Since then, he's been far and wide the best LB for the past 2 seasons and continuing that form into this season.

Loves a bit of shíthousery, decorated player and captain of his national team.

He's class but far from under rated.

Speaking of Villa, they, and their perfect record are up v Leeds tonight at 8pm.

    Should be a good game.

One of my major bugbears at the moment - one person says one thing, and suddenly it's attributed to a collection of millions. It's not just football either, it's everywhere right now -- all liberals, or all conservatives, or all Irish people, or all Dubs, or all Millennials etc etc. It's so reductive and unhelpful, and just pushes things further into the 'us V them' that exists now with every single topic.

Can’t argue with that, although Alfonso Davies is it, from Bayern looks top notch

Looks great alright, though having a rough time of it this season with Hernandez starting most games ahead of him, and Flick mentioning that he's struggling with form. He's still a bit raw, and relies a lot on pure pace when defending, but he'll be a really special player within the next 2 or 3 years i'd say. Curious as to where he'll end up though... feels more like a wing-forward to me. More Mane than Robbo.

So who's fav tonight Villa or Leeds

Villa have would be favourites with the form they are in. Leeds have started well of course but are without Phillips now for a few games.

I am sure what happened last time the clubs met will be in minds of the fans watching. Of the players who remain at each club.

What are the chances of Klich scoring?

Interesting game a loss for either side could see them have a bit of a slump ,

It would be two losses in a row for Leeds and might show teams have got to grips with there style .

A loss for Villa and they may revert to last years form ,

    I reckon it'll be a 2-2 draw,

Think that incident will be overplayed to create some drama. Both teams will just want the win (duh), but that last game wont be the cause of it.

Great start to the season by Villa so hopefully leeds can put a halt to it now. It's only on PPV, is that correct?

It a PPV game and it's on BT Sport Box Office. It's not available on any normal Sky channel.

James Rodriguez out for the Southampton game with an injury and just like that our dream of the title comes crashing down :pac:

No James or Richi will be a big test for Everton. Likely replacement are Siggy and Iwobi. Gick.

Paul Joyce saying James trained today and could be fit

Robertson, seen as one of the best LBs in the world currently, is underrated? By who exactly!?

It’s a bit like Denis Irwin. Everybody rated him, but at the same time had this reputation of being underrated. It’s kinda weird. Maybe it’s something to do with the full back position.

I think it’s the fact Trent seems to get all the plaudits..

Before the season I would have thought Leeds would get 6 points v Villa. And I'd say a few Villa fans would have agreed it was possible.

Right now, if Leeds were offered a point from this game, they'd grab it. The defence and centre midfield is very makeshift.

I understand he is rated but he doesn't get media attention like Trent or Davies of Bayern,I think he just an absolutely phenomenal player, and deserve even more credit than the credit he gets ,

Anyway enough of my Robbo love in :)

He's hardly "extremely underrated" though, as you said. The dog on the street knows how good he is

Robertson does pretty much everything really well.

Trent and Davis have more of the wow factor. Trent can ping a 60 yard pass on the half volley right to his team mate who's on the run. Davis can pick up the ball and skip by three players while doing step overs. They'll get you on your feet a lot more than Robertson will.

Robertson doesn't have either to the same level but he can go by players and hit fantastic passes and crosses but he doesn't have that slickness to him.

Saw on one of those footy pages there was a vote for best prem CB

    Top 3 came out as
    Vidic
    VVD
    Rio

Not that it matters but really surprised Terry wasn't top 3

it may be bias but I can never see past McGrath, I think it would have been scary how good he would have been without the drinking and the dodgy knees
About 20 years ago I stood in his shadow in a shop, best day ever

Did he not get a little creeped out after a few hours?

Vidic ahead of McGrath and Terry? Real "internet poll" stuff.

I suppose for McGrath, the "Premier League" aspect hurts him a bit... He was already around 32 when the Premier League started, so only had 2 or 3 of his best years that you could count if you stick to the Prem thing.

Bloody hell, Graelish should've just scored one of the goals of the season there, but couldn't find the finish.

Actually, probably should've passed to Watkins at one point for an earlier chance, but he'd already done so much i'd say he wanted the cherry on top.

Such a good counter after Meslier made two huge saves

It looked simple, but was a very tidy finish too. There's lots of players there might have smashed their foot through it from that close range, but instead he guided it very nicely right into the corner.

Everton now the only unbeaten team in the league. Words I never thought I'd say

    Aaand another. Having some game!

3 very different goals - tap in, piledriver, and finessed finish.

Could've just gone copy and paste.

Leeds could also have so much more, getting into the box fairly easily

A bit of a reality check for Villa. Wonder if Smith over performing so far this season will give him any leeway or will the the fans start to get the knives out.

Bamford seems to be more comfortable in the PL than the EPL.
Hopefully he isn't another Pukki and fizzles out as season progresses.
