from what I'm hearing locally he'll be no longer running the pub...

That doesn't suit the narrative that he's worshipped as a hero in the small minded bogger community ( he's really, really not.)

Yes and looking through I'd say most of the likes are actually from outside the area.

I never said you made it up, just exaggerated. You're the one that wanted to cite social media as evidence afterall...
be careful they'll be calling you a hypocrite for no reason whatsoever shortly....

That has not been confirmed and don't be surprised if its wrong. You wouldn't want be making presumptions based on limited information and spreading rumors like...

    No reason?

Accuse someone of making presumptions about a community they live in then call them small minded based on your own presumptions about a community you don't live in.

Something tells me reason and logic isn't your thing.

the fact you said its not confirmed would suggest you heard the same, why didn't you post that already, maybe to suit your narrative. I'm not making presumptions just telling you what I was told which I'm 100% aware could turn out to be incorrect.

And I'm not saying that GAA and the publicans are entirely to blame, just that they are not whiter than white or as hard done by as they pretend to be. In my local town there are four pubs, two owned by the same person which have regularly flouted the rules, with no distancing, no food and no 11 o'clock closing.
One other is toying with the rules and one seems to be compliant, that's 25%, far from a majority. In addition, two of the clubs which were involved in recent scandals, are within my catchment area so if mine is a typical case, and I suspect it is, then flouting of the rules is widespread.

So the offical statistics of cases and their source etc are wrong based on your locality where one asshole own 50% of the pubs in that area and young fellas in 2 local GAA clubs didnt behave themselves means it must be widespread??

    Ok then!!

Just throwing it out here but might it just be a case of a few assholes in your locality, ye know individual responsibility etc.

I dont think assuming behaviour on a general basis based on what happens in your local area is quite the way to go about it in all honesty, i mean the very fact that there is huge variance within the various areas of the county in terms of case numbers etc should tell ye that.

I heard he was sacked multiple times since it happened. Turned out to be bull**** each time.

Unlike yourself I wouldn't be one to be sensationalist and go spreading rumors..

Wexford has had 50% more cases in the last two weeks than it had in total for the six months from March to September. From being nowhere in the national figures we are now in the top 5 and all thanks to these selfish stupid bas*ards.
My wife and I are now going to have to coccoon again.[/QUOTE
its a shame all right when the county had done so well . very few cases in the south of county i got a bit of a shock when next door neighbour and daughter got it and they were very careful
The maddening part is , the ones acting the bollicks will blame everyone but themselves and tell us the government are doing things all wrong .
heard a rumour , dont know how true it is , that the fella running the pub in rathangan , near duncormick has been ''dismissed'' by the owner due to all the carry on in the pub
That GAA carry on has been going on the length and breadth of the country. See the eay the figures for cavan and meatth went mad, and all because of booze ups after county finals. And no one calls them out

The vast majority of them were abiding by rules but if it makes ye feel better to keep tarring one entire group of people publicans, GAA etc by the actions of a few work away.

My own club were in a county final on the same weekend, had no meal, had a few drinks in our local and have had no issues whatsoever, no cases, nothing in the community. The pub was already set up well in regards to the regulations as they were, closed on time and thats it. Follow the rules, dont pull the preverbial and ye can have a drink, dont and youre barred, it was quite simple really.

Basically put, it comes down to personal responsibility and thats it, its not the fault of one group but the fault of individual decisions, end of.

the representatives from the vintner's and gaa were always speaking about them as a group so were entitled to paint them with the one brush . I enjoy a pint as much as the next fella but haven't been in a pub lately but anybody i know who has been to one only went once as publicans are quiet happy to flout the guidelines

dont get me wrong i agree with you , any body i know or knock around with have no time for him . They did what they were asked for last 8 months
they'll probably freak out at you now for contradicting they're narrative of a parish full of hicks and this publican been some sort of tribal leader...

Well the few assholes in my area must be very mobile because the seem to be replicating their behaviour all over the county and not just that but all over the country as well. No doubt nobody else in the county would dream of taking a drink after a match, or invade a pitch or worst of all breach guidelines on serving drink.
This is like the thinking that was prevalent after WW2 when it was suggested that only the Nazis were the bad guys and the rest of the German people were angels. This of course, was suggested by the German people. Keep on dreaming

Ok im out!! I mean the official numbers dont actually come close to backing up your assumptions but anyway.

Now comparing publicans and GAA members all over the country to the german people during the nazi regime!!

We have officially entered jump the shark territory here.

Keep yourself well and mind the assholes, thats all ye can do!

Firstly its obvious either the moderators or yourself edited your previous post asking was I from the parish I can 100% assure you I'm not but am from a nearby parish, the nerve of you claiming I'm trying to stir ****, get in everyone's ear etc. Disgraceful stuff from ya, I far better things to be doing with my time than be stooping that low, I called you out claiming most of the parish are supporting the carry on but its plainly obvious now you simply can't handle your allegations been challenged...

I agree that was unfair and inaccurate. Most people aren't gob****es. But there's a lot. Case and point, a packed pub with no restrictions in the middle of a pandemic and 100 people criticizing a cancer patient for bringing public attention to it.

I edited as I thought it was unfair on the parish to say you may be from there.

The nerve of me? Check your post history. Last 4-5 posts you posted solely to get a rise out of me and try get in the ears of other posters. So no, you dont have anything better to do it seems.

Now please stop trying to provoke me and go annoy someone else.

yeah nerve of you, you have literally just admitted to posting inaccurate information your credibility is long gone, every bit of hardship you got today was 100% self inflicted.

Never resorted to insults like yourself either and not going to your level and reply to them...

only heard the girls name today so looked her up . the poor girl your heart would go out to her . She's a brave girl in every way and id Fully support her sentiment in the video . She's the very kind of person that people have to try and protect . I hope the virus or indeed the sickness that young lady face's doesn't visit to many more and that's the reason we as the public have to '' cop the f..k'' on and make a few very small sacrafice's for a while

Just an apt comparison and no more fanciful than your attempt to portray them all as pure as the driven snow.
