An Post has been excellent for deliveries. Only time I ever had something go missing was with the other couriers. I hope Amazon stick with An Post personally.

Agree , My post is delivered every day at 7.15 AM, DPD could be 5PM

Anyone recommend a deal on a cordless vacuum? Top end of the range with long battery life and powerful.

Am sitting here as a postie, who has his first time off this week since February and first I have heard of re us losing Amazon, hopefully this is only for the big cities but hope am wrong on that too.... Word is An Post have lost Smyths Toys too, so this would be complete kick in the you know where.. Amazon would be 80% of our parcels and we do make sure the recipient is informed re where there parcel is.... The couriers are probably under costing An Post but as said in above message, I have seen parcels sopping at front doors, throw them anywhere as long as delivered(we would get written warning for doing that) .. But best was only last week where I landed at house and a dog was chowing on a leather skirt left in package at door by a courier.... Saying that, all couriers are not like that, some seem to change their drivers that often that their under pressure throw the parcels anywhere to speeden things up..
And God help the lads working this weekend, bound to be double the amazon parcels on Saturday for delivery..

Fair play, far and away the best delivery service for me. All the postmen are dead sound and obliging.

I really hope this isn’t true about an post I find they have been excellent with delivering amazon packages.. no issues with them. You get the message saying it’s in the hub and get it the next day.. even with the increase in deliveries with COVID I found none of my packages where delayed they where delayed coming from amazon but as soon as they hit an post I was getting them the next day, cannot say the same for other couriers..

What projector did you get? For that price I thought I might try one myself but can't find any at that price. But now absolutely need one 🀭

Wonder if there will be any more deals on 4k monitors. Was in the market for one but missed out on any deals yesterday.

it was a misprice for 5 minutes late Monday night which some here were able to get and are being honoured despite a lot of orders being cancelled, the normal price is £100

Was a misplace for about 5 minutes the other night. It's now £69.99 unfortunately.

Lots of people got cancellations to be honest.. a lucky few got it!

Maybe its related to Brexit?, the AnPost thing, surely they are expecting order volume to fall though the floor once the UK leaves the EU properly at the end of the year?
I really really really really really hope this doesn't mean more Fastway deliveries, talk about awful service :(

On a related note, what happens to Uk Prime membership on January 1st, becomes worthless right?

Keep an eye on Dyson’s eBay Store.. you regularly get good manufacturer-refurbished models for a a fraction of the price of even a good sale. Got a V6 for €150 from them a year or two back - still going strong (albeit only used on stairs since I got robot vacuum.. what can I say, I’m a lazy bastard).

As another postie, all I'll say is ,be careful what you wish for regarding Amazon doing their own deliveries,at least we know every address, and have to answer to Amazon if stuff goes awry, and we don't deliver at 9pm on a Sunday night, and expect you to be home , I've heard the Amazon lads are on Flexi time ,some are, meaning..they do them when they are free from doing anything else.

I see from the inside,we have never been so swamped we had a backlog of any significant size, the delay is normally the post arriving to an post to deliver..

But there are exceptions,I know all my customers by name, their relatives houses if they aren't home to leave parcel there etc.

    There is a big difference.

I hope we don't loose Amazon,it's more work for me sure (I'll get paid the same with or without Amazon) ..but it's good for the health of the company to keep them.

Clothes that stand out you say?! (picked up of these up for Glastonbury this year, but stupid Covid!!)

Keep an eye on Lightning Deals.. but not seen a whole lot bar brands I’ve never heard of and that have far too many vowels in their name for their own good (e.g RIIQIICHY, QUEENIEKE)

Actually now I recall I think had a parcel delivered from amazon courier on sunday, some dude with a fag hanging out of his mouth and the package was bent, luckily no damage to the vinyl record therein.

I have often requested an post rather than a courier. I am so disappointed to hear that.
Couriers never even attempt to deliver to the house they always leave everything in the local shop resulting in dozens of people in and out rifling through scores of packages to find their own, and if they don't have enough parcels to justify coming to the area I get a message saying customer did not give accurate address and couldn't be contacted. The only half way decent experience I had was by accident
I had a very large very expensive stereo delivered before Christmas, few days later I get a phone call from an irate courier (presuming he was annoyed because he had to actually deliver to the house this time) saying hes left a parcel outside the house (rural, so not a problem) when I tried asking him what it was as I had already received the package I was expecting all I got back was garbled shouting and abuse. Result: 2 stereos for the price of one.
My postman on the other hand a dream, if I'm not quick enough to answer the door I find the parcel on the kitchen table (inside the door since covid though) or inside one of the cars or even at my mother's house if I'm not in.

They’ve set up their own system. As fail it’s similar to Fastway in that the drivers are all self employed

My bluetooth speaker for the shower is fuzzing like hell these days, any good deals on bluetooth speakers?

I'll have a look myself but I'm not sure what is good or bad.
