Calculating U-Values

Does anybody know of any really good resource, paid or otherwise, to assist with u-value calculations?

I know the process, and developed an excel file, but I always struggle with materials to find resistance values or conductivity values and that.

If somebody can recommend a detailed (clearly written!) book, or software it would be fantastic, I need to get better at it.

The BRE u-value calculator is a must have. I paid £75 ten years ago for mine. Comes with common materials and thermal conductivity values and you can add as many more as you wish.

I second the BRE U-Value calculator. Purchased it a few years ago and should have gotten it many years before that.

It has a library with it that is sufficient for most needs but not super massive. However you can add materials to it at will.

No screenshots so I can't be sure but it's from BRE so I assume they only have one calculator!

    Purchased it.

Seems like it'll do just fine, limited enough in materials it seems but I can manually add as required, can take resistance values from either product literature for the likes of insulation, or from prescribed values in TGD L appendix table as required.

Make sure to use the certified values from Agrement Certs and the like rather than the sales brochure. Just to be safe!

    Yes - that's the one I have!
