Why are prices in Galway so high in comparison to Limerick or even Cork? It appears to be the second most expensive city and prices seems to be getting more expensive.

Is it strange? I'd expect as much tbh.
West coast living and still only 2 hour drive from Dublin. Traffic is rubbish but that can be avoided.

if you want to move west and break from working in Dublin, chances are its most likely galway (or close to Galway) where ya want to be. There are plenty of well paid specialized jobs that are in demand and plentiful. here is also huge demand from those who have settled here, huge rental opportunity with a large IT and a university for students, lots of tourists...

Limerick and Cork both have that, Galway is the most exposed of any city to the tourist hit re_ covid

Galway's medical devices industry is larger than any other Irish city though. Many well paid jobs.
