    Cheers EN. Surprisingly, there has not been that many duplicates for this tournament at all (apart from one song almost everyone has nominated)

    230 songs now and I haven't even added my own songs.

    We have around 280 songs now. I plan to start this on Oct 19th. Format still to be decided. Still accepting noms.

    Each day until kick off, I will post one random song thats been nominated.

    I will let everyone here decide if it should go directly to Round 1. First to 4 yes or no will be the result.

    yes Liz, he wrote and directed the film.

    It's a great tune. I feel this would be better if it was restricted to songs that actually came from movies, rather than any old song that just happens to be in a movie. That Thing You Do is certainly a contender. Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney is another that springs to mind.

    I had thought of this but it seemed to much to screen. Folk can vote against a song if they don't think it should be there. I think the real movie songs will get to the latter stages of the contest.

    Its more likely it only got 1 nomination. Songs with multiple nominations tend to automatically secure a spot in Round 1.
