Thought genuinely that score flattered Liverpool. 11 vs 11 too... Villa were Qing up. Some good last ditch tackles thought kept it semi disrespectful.

    Mad day of football.

10 games, 41 goals. Got to be a record.

Actually 43 is the record for the 20 team premiership back in 2011

Nice to see Everton sitting pretty at the top of the table as the only team with a 100 per cent record. Pleased for Ancelotti. Wish United had gone for him.

Villa haven't dropped any points either?

Surely that Kelleher lad has to be pushing Adrian for 2nd choice for pool after that display.

It's not even a record for this season. There were 44 goals just a couple of weeks ago:

So suprised pool went and got him. He's not a great keeper at all.

Nice to see a title race between 2 of the classic teams. :)

The Liverpool 4 Leeds 3 result looking more and more like points dropped for Leeds. I said it at the time, Liverpool were very lucky. Not in the game itself, but in facing a centre half pairing that between them had played 5 whole games for Leeds...

Have all the defence coaches been quarantined?

There are some things to look at I suppose, like the lack of a proper off season so new players at the back not all all integrated into a system but that doesn't explain teams like Liverpool, Man Utd, Leicester, Man City shipping mad amounts. It's not the rules either, penos tally for the season is still only a bit more than half the goals scored in the last two days.

Are all the games in October after the break not televised now? Lots more 3 PM games now and less of the crazy buildup we've grown used to.

For sure the lack of fans is a massive, massive factor in all this craziness. You can expect players to be as professional as you'd like, but anyone whose played live in front of people will tell you there is that extra bit of adrenaline that kicks in when you have fans at the stadium and you fight and scrap for every ball just a bit more. Even if they are trying hard not to think this way, I think subconsciously the empty stadiums is creating a "training game" mentality in player's minds, and they are not as determined to stop big, embarrassing scorelines.

lol - If this was the case its ****ing amazing any player makes it beyond u10s. These lads spent years of their lives playing in front of nobody, its a complete non-issue.

not a whole lot he could do about that game either.

It was extraordinary. Villa just had to hoof the ball in the general direction of the Liveprool box and they'd likely be in on goal. Half hearted tackles, no pressure to stop crosses, late to stop shots, playing the offside trap at 5-2 on the halfway line, a simple free kick leads to three to tap the ball in.

It seems to happen a lot in modern football in the past ten years - the inexplicable hammering as teams double down on plan A and fall apart, no change in approach. 8-2s, 7-2s, 6-1s

Adrian set the tone though with an absolute howler is the 2nd or 3rd minute. What they were trying to do playing offside on the halfway line thereafter is beyond me though.

Bit of credit to Everton this weekend. They look superb, fair dues to them.

They'll be an * after this season if it's not null and voided.

Most overrated striker in English history with another two goals and an assist yesterday.

Could we be on course for a record breaking goal race? 4 games in and 4 blokes already on 5 with a further 13 on 3 or 4

    Who Kane? Salah? ;)

Sure they are both one season wonders!

The Chelsea Double was amazing, less so was him being sacked in the tunnel for finishing 2nd in the league and not getting to the CL semis

Nothing has been confirmed yet on that.

Nothing has been confirmed yet on that.
They've allocated times to the games though. I mean, there is nothing stopping them from changing them again, given no fans with travel plans. But, its only 13 days til the games happen and it had been made apparent that there wouldn't be fans at games before they confirmed those slots.

Still can't get my head around that 7-2 last night! Be interesting to see how Klopp reacts.

Times for the games after the international break were only announced last week with no fans they can do what they want basically with kick-off times
