NTL digital subscription

    I have called in NTL and organized for a MOVIES + SPORTS digital pack subscription.
    they have listed expenses for:

    65EUR connection fee
    60EUR per month for the digital package
    This included of VAT

    So I will expect to see on my first bill 65+60+60 = 185 for the first 2 months and then 120EUR onwards.

    A friend of mine tells me this is bull**** as he paid extra fees and more charges for the digital package. Should I believe NTL ? Does any of you have NTL digital cable with MOVIES + SPORTS ? Is the line OK ?

    thanks SteM. I have seen this page at NTL, but I also wanted a feedback from an enduser view. Not that I dont fully trust NTL, in fact i dont... :)


    Installation should be half price, but latest brouchure I got home said promotion ends at 30th September (even if on NTL site is still available).

    This is why I dont really trust NTL sales dpt. They would tell you anythign you want to ear in order to sell, then when first bill comes out, things are different....

    Beware, you'll get a bit of a fright when your first bill comes in, because NTL bill in advance. That is to say, you're paying for the NEXT two months, not the PREVIOUS two.

    I learned this because I got Movies and Sports added to my digital package half way through August , and just got the bill last week. I was billed the cost of digital for OCTOBER and NOVEMBER, PLUS the 6 weeks or so from August to end of September..

    Just a heads up that you'll have to pay 2 months advance PLUS however long you had it up until your first bill!
