Hi just purchased first boat. It has a 1998 evinrude 40hp 2 stroke which is fine but no tilt and trim. I have found a working unit on a evinrude 70hp same year which is being broken for parts. I'm not too familiar with this engine but it might be worth checking if they are the same length shaft.
