Pump making louder noise than normal

I have a pump connected to my water tank which shoots water up to my bathroom for shower etc.

It's gotten very loud since about a month ago, does this mean it's on its last legs?

It's around 6 years old.

Can they be serviced?

Is there an expansion vessel on the system ? That might be worth checking if its still operating correctly.

No idea, I'll get the plumber to check it when the boiler is being serviced.

Was mainly curious if noise from a pump was a normal thing after so many years service.

Anything else it might be? I don't live in a hard water area.

ok cool I'll mention the noisy pump to the plumber then before he comes over and perhaps he has something spare like this ready to fit if required.

So pumps are serviceable rather than just replace once dead?
