Italy and quarantine

Going to a wedding on Monday in Italy. I understand we have to quarantine on our return. My question is do we have to self isolate upon arrival in Italy and if so for how long..

Thanks for your reply but do U know if isolation is in place In Italy at the present time when u arrive ?

What does that have to do with Italy?

Currently you should be ok on arrival to most regions. I think there's some form filling but nothing else. Obviously all subject to change.

Given we are now in level 3 for Dublin, be prepared for some questioning on the way to the airport.

Of course if you are Dublin resident you shouldn't be trying to leave the plague infested area at all.

Travel

Those living in Dublin are advised to stay within the county unless they have to travel for work, education and other essential purposes.

People from outside Dublin are advised to only travel into the county for these same essential purposes.

This applies to Dublin residents who want to fly out of Dublin Airport as they should only do so if their journey is essential.

Asked about how this will be policed, Micheál Martin said there will be increased presence of gardái. "They will make a judgment call, as they do already every day," he said.

Eamon Ryan later said that the regulations would be enforced by the gardaí and the airport authorities. "They will be using their discretion," the Minister for Transport said.

A spokesperson for the daa, the operator for Dublin and Cork airports, said airport authorities have no access to any personal passenger information.

I believe you need a covid test within 48 hours of arriving or departing in italy and have to isolate within italy until you get the results.

I believe there may be regional restrictions in certain areas as well.

Croatia, Greece, Malta, Spain, French regions of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Corsica, Hauts-de-France, Ilȇ -de-France, New Aquitaine, Occitania, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

New rules for 22 September so they are are relaxing things a little i guess.
