LED Garage lighting question

I purchased these battens and led tubes with starter in the link below online last week.

Before purchase I emailed them twice to confirm that the 2 were compatible and that i needed starters for these to work as stated in the battens description and I was told I need the tubes with starters for them battens.

Arrived yesterday but on the battens there is no place for the starters.

Will these still work with no starters?I have contacted the supplier by phone but no reply yet.

Am I right in thinking that the "LED starter" is just used to make a connection (or: short) in old battens which have a place for a starter?

But since you bought LED battens, the LED tubes will work with no starter?

I was thinking something similar but in the description in the batten link it states you need tubes with starters to work in there battens.

They had tubes with no starters for sale and if a starter is not needed it make more sense to say one of these is required.

Sounds about right

Seems like a lot of trouble compared to a standard led batten, how do they compare
