College results on job apps (american companies)

Quick question. So I have been job hunting and applied to a few of amercian companies (Dublin offices) and nearly all ask for Overall Result (GPA) for college results. I got a 2.1 which is good here but AFAIK the higher the better for american GPA. MY question is if I put 2.1 is it logical to assume the recruiter would see that as the good result it is or take the american GPA system where a 2.1 is bad (so I understand)

They should understand the different grading systems if they're hiring over here and asking that question. I'd say just specify that it's NFQ or whatever you have.

GPA ranges from 0 to 4, usually. So a 2.1 would be considered poor. However, there is no comparison - a 2.1 from us is an award classification, not a GPA. So it would be incorrect, and highly detrimental, to say that your GPA is 2.1.

I would include your average % and “Irish system” in brackets after 2.1 to remove any doubt.
