    Very reliable.

I use them often, as do others on boards. I just recently got a dehydrator delivered through them.

My pocofone f2 arrived this morning, which wasn't bad going considering I ordered it a week ago tomorrow night.

So that 3 working days in total, have only been getting things moved across, but very impressed so far.

    Hi ,

    I'd appreciate any help.

I'm having trouble with the audio of my Redmi Note 5, my calls audio are received very low and sometimes lose audio.
I've tried a full reboot and this hasn't fixed, the audio seems fine on video play back.

    Thanks.

Only been using it for 2 X full days and am extremely impressed with it, both aesthetically and in performance.

Don't think it was possible with the poco1, but the ability to remember which SIM to dial a certain contact with is brilliant, more times than enough I've called a business contact via my private number by mistake, meaning they then think when my work phone is turned off, sure I'll just text or call him on that other number - and vise versa.

Ytube music now operates in the background with a nice small window displaying in the foreground now when you have the screen locked - I know this was also available on the F1, but nowhere near as pleasing to look at or use (screenshot attached)

    Screenshot-2020-09-09-10-32-01-767-lockscreen.jpg

The fingerprint unlock feature being on the screen is very handy, I've it set up with my left index finger for when it's in the cradle of my car for work, and with my right index finger and thumb for when the phones in my left hand, it's a very nice feature imo.

Camera is brilliant, I've only taken a few shots so far, including a few with the 64mp lens, but it's fantastic, and you don't seem to lose too much quality of detail when you zoom in on a pic. And although "selfies" aren't exactly my thing, my kids are seriously impressed with the selfie lens emerging from the top of the phone like some kind of space ship step. :pac:

Battery is prob 25% improved on the F1 also, this things a powerhouse, I rely on the phone for hours on end on the field with work, and this thing keeps going on and on without skipping a beat.

I'll possibly throw up a more detailed feedback post when I've had it a few months, but so far I'm willing to give it a 5/5 so far, I can't believe I've been shelling out hundreds of euro on Samsung products for years - this phone has cost me just slightly north of €300 and it holds many of the Samsung models I've owned over the years clean out of the water.

For those asking where I bought it, I posted the link earlier for AliExpress, was with me in less than a week.

Not sure why you'd do that.

My finger print sensor is set to the same as McMurphy above, index on both left and right hand.

Just a better chance of recognising it. I have four different thumbs / fingers in plus an extra for thumb.

As good as the F2's reader is, it still misses the odd one and since doing that, it never misses the thumb.

Bit of a long shot, but anyone have the Redmi Note 9S on the xiaomi.eu ROM version of MIUI number 11.0.11 and have 2 sims? :D

Well reason why I ask is my 2nd sim is no longer working.
The phone is acting like it's a single sim unit, I can't quite explain it!
The only thing I can think of is I downloaded that update last week and I noticed the 2nd sim wasn't working 2 or 3 days back!

Can I ask how you find the 9S?
What's the camera and battery like on it?
    Thanks!

I like the phone very much, best camera I've had in a few years on a phone.
Coming from a few different Nokia's, most recent the 8.1, so that's where my mind is with camera's.
Battery is really great! At more than 5000 mah, it's great for power users all day or average users for 2 days :)

Only caveat is there's no NFC!
The Redmi Note 9 Pro has the NFC and is almost identical, but has a higher MP camera and faster quick charge!

As I missing something or is the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Smartphone 6GB RAM 128GB ROM a better spec than the Poco F2 and cheaper on AliExpress https://a.aliexpress.com/_d6OFDji

The camera and processor are lower spec, is my understanding

  • Registered Users Posts: 833 ✭✭✭batman2000

Thanks abarkie.....The camera's appear very similar to me, albeit coming from not a camera expert.

I see the screen on the Poco F2 is AMOLED versus IPS LCD on the Poco X3 and the Poco X3 does not have an "always on" display.

The GPU is better on the Poco F2 Andreno 650 with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The Poco F2 Qualcomm chipset has a better AnTuTu score

Given the price, would you think perhaps there's enough to swing a decision not to buy the Poco X3?

    X3 doesn't have 5G

Also has poorer processor and graphics

Just over a week into using my Poco F2 pro.
My only gripes so far, was due to a premature miui.eu release of Android 11 ;) rather than anything at all wrong with the handset.

I'm running the EU ROM, rooted and it is a buttery smooth.
A really premium feel and fantastic performance. I switched to the latest Google camera apk and the camera is brilliant IMO.
1st phone I've owned with a macro lens, and I've really enjoyed playing around with that and with nightshot in particular.
May even end up giving the astro photography options a try ;)

My own set up is Nova launcher and other than ad-away and a few other root needed apps but otherwise fairly stock.
The phone itself is a brilliant piece of exceptionally well priced tech.
It really does highlight that flagship performance is available at mid-range pricing.

Been messing around with stock/gcam just to see the differences in them, and have to admit the gcam app is fairly impressive alright.

Did you manage to get macro options working for gcam though banie? I tried copying and pasting xml files in to where they're supposed to go, but no macro for me.

Have you turned on the additional lenses in Gcam settings?
    Settings>advanced>auxiliary lenses?

I'm using the Urnyx 7.3 v2.2 Gcam build with the K30 pro zoom config, and everything even slo-mo seems to be working.

Redmi Note 9S 179 euros from edwaybuy
change the country on edwaybuy and prices change 5 days shipping from Germany but watch out for ups they try not to deliver it they want you to collect it after 4 extra days i emailed the seller and ups delivered it two hours later at midnight but ups held onto it for 4 extra days
they have a cheaper note 9 but it's not as good camera or cpu they also have more expensive one but it's about 100 more for just better camera..you can try gearbest in China they ship sometimes from Europe but look for something that says line in the shipping options they used to be cheaper but not so much.there are a lot of 5g phoned from China for 250 but you might have to pay tax it depends if it's imported from China or europe
i look at gizchina and gizmochina for phone reviews
