Anyone have any experience with Colissimo? Ordered a small package from France.

Last thing on the tracking system was over a week ago. "Your package has left France".

Just wondering if you received it and how long it took?

I have a parcel that apparently left France on the 17th of July. Does anyone think I should be worried by now? I'm not sure when I should start chasing it up.

Having issues with An Post as well with my amazon UK order. The tracking status said "Delivered" on 29th July at 18:00 even though it hasn't. The tracker updated before 18:00 that day as well.

I had this happened with my last order in June but the order came the next day so didn't think too much of it. This time I contacted an post on the web chat about it when it didn't show up the next day and they said it's an IT issue with the scanner and that there is a high volume of post. I waited another day and contacted them again and they said it should be there by now and that they have opened an "enquiry" on it and the guy told me to contact amazon.

I explained to Amazon and they ended up giving me a full refund and said if the item does show up they could arrange a return if I don't want it anymore which was pretty sound. Still the item has not shown up.

Anyone have similar experience with An Post? Only have this happening since June.

An Post have taken at least two days to deliver all my Amazon orders in the last two weeks.

There were flawless in delivering the next working day before in my experience. Even if a package arrived in the Dublin Parcel Hub between 12 and 4 am it would be delivered that day.

FYI, my stuff showed up yesterday. Something went wrong during the transfer to a parcel locker apparently, but it was all present and correct.

Lots of staff on leave at the moment and while temporary staff have been taken on they're not as efficient as the regular staff

Just to follow up on this in case anyone else is wondering. I did chase it up and there was a problem on Colissimo's end. Once the shop got on to them they scanned it as exported again and I received it exactly one week after that. The An Post tracking didn't update until the day I got it.

Received a letter yesterday posted in Cork last Saturday. Another letter posted from the UK THREE weeks ago arrived yesterday.
    That's a fairly poor service.

So it wasn't an post s fault the package was delayed?

No, it wasn't, it was Colissimo. They had it scanned as having left France but it didn't actually go anywhere. I contacted the shop who contacted Colissimo. Colissimo scanned it again and then it actually left France.

An Post clearly processed it immediately once it got here. The first scan in Ireland was in the early hours of the morning and I got it that day. That was exactly one week after the last scan in France, which is quite normal I think, or maybe even a bit faster than normal.

My insurance renewal was posted on the 9th of July and I just got it on Thursday. A whole month is a total joke from one part of Dublin to another.

An Post webchat will only say it's a misscan and it has left Ireland and is not being returned. Their website says...

    €15.00
    3 - 5 working days
    High Quality Post
    Secure Delivery
    Track your item online
    Signature
    Inclusive Insurance up to €150

Interestingly, if you don't register it, it'll cost half the amount and get there in 2-3 days. :D:D:D

2nd delay in about 2 weeks. Both delayed at Crumlin D12 depot. The parcel arrives there. And just sits there.

Im not normally one to complain but Im going to keep complaining to Amazon and now im thinking of complaining directly to An Post.

The first time was frustrating as they thought they lost my parcel. Amazon suggested a refund. Then the parcel arrived. And I have to go through the bother of sending it back as I bought another item.

Now, this week again. Delays at the same depot. The parcel gets there swiftly from the UK but its now in Crumlin longer than it was travelling from the UK.

I used to think An Post service was pretty good. Now ive a different view of them.

In D3 Amazon orders via Post orders are coming ahead of expected timelines to me.
Also stuff from Arnotts via An Post.

Unfortunately, looks like it's an issue with your area.

The tracking doesn't show when it arrives at your local delivery depot. The problem is likely there.

Believe me, you will be better doing something into the wind than complaining to An Post. They are a law onto themselves and they don't give a fiddlers about complaints or complainers. I am a complainer.

This was the case a few times for me (I'm just near D3). And I let them know and left positive reviews as I was delighted with the service.

But I would forfeit early deliveries if the services were just consistent and reliable.

@VG31: Ah, OK. So they go to another local sorting office again? OK, makes sense.

@WestWicklow1: It's a pain all right. I'm trying to pressure Amazon in the hope they pressure their carriers.

I have a package going on three working days just sitting in the parcel depot. Can understand a one day delay due to time of year but it’s a bit much three days. And no sign of it progressing.

I've had two late deliveries this month. Both about 4-5 days late. Ships to Ireland no-problem, then the slog hits somewhere between D12 Parcel Depot and perhaps some local depots.

I've ordered something Monday morning and it says it's due on Friday. This is Prime. It dispatched the same day I ordered which was nice. It's now left Merseyside in the AM and I expect it's probably going to be in Dublin today or latest tomorrow. Will get a text from An Post that it's been accepted in D12 Crumlin Parcel Depot and it will be Monday before I can get it.

That's my guess based on last two deliveries. 7 days for a parcel from England to Ireland in 2020, is ridiculous.

I ordered something from America and its been in Ireland over a month without being delivered.

"Your item departed a transfer airport in DUBLIN, IRELAND on July 28, 2020 at 8:46 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination."

Is there any way to contact USPS or an post about it? Can't imagine a month is normal.

Enter the tracking into an post, it should be on their system by now.

Or enter it in 17track app.

If not call an post customer service on Monday and they will check it out for you. It's probably sitting in port laoise wait for a customs letter to be issued.

    What's the value?

Only 20 dollars, nothing on the an post system. I'll call them Monday. Thanks.

It might not have left the states. Usps updates as soon as it gets to the airport holding area for packages.

Normally that's fine, but with massive flight cancelations parcels are delayed.

    Still taking 4-6 weeks.

If you use http://track.anpost.ie/ you will see more tracking information than the .com

There were definitely delivery delays mid-late Aug as a lot of staff took holidays. We had three different people collect over two weeks and only recognized one of them. They were also over an hour later than normal

But seems to be back to normal now.
