Just to be perfectly clear and as already stated, I have not claimed the democrats removed dislikes. I simply stated that some people speculated that they did.

His use of Twitter appeals to his base so he's just using it to his advantage, it's basically free publicity and a way to attack Biden without being in a face to face debate with him. With regards to him being a decent human being, the man is no angel but, I think some of comments describing him are a bit extreme and over exaggerated like comparing him to Hitler etc.

As has been pointed out repeatedly, he's not going to win with just his base so why continue with the same format on Twitter since day one of his presidency? It achieves nothing as his base will vote for him anyway regardless of what he does. Keeping in mind his tweets are part of the presidential record, how does his pandering to his base sit within his role as POTUS?

While he's not Hitler, the content and tone of his tweets for one show that his leadership qualities are severely lacking. He is POTUS for all Americans not just his base. They also demonstrate a very insecure individual with very poor self control. And since you yourself stated his Twitter usage appeals to his base, his tweets also demonstrate poor tactical usage of a communication tool during a re-election campaign. He should be pushing to garner what support he can from those outside his base not pushing conspiracy theories and petty insults.

some people who are massively biased and just outright lying. but that isn't important to you.

Speculation is not lying. The president himself speculated about the same thing:

How exactly have I gaslighted? I stated some people speculated the democrats had dislikes removed. It is a fact that some people thought this happened.

Because you shared this information, purportedly from a neutral position, without taking any personal stance. Your whole post was "Some people are saying" and 0% "Here is what I think about that." And then you begin acting like the injured party when anyone on thread ends up having to infer you, based on your established thread history. If you don't think there is merit to dislikegate, you didn't say up front. And you still haven't taken any clear position:

So you're propagating this junk news, and simultaneously pretending through omission that you have no personal opinion on it. The clear conclusion would be, as you are propagating it without caveat, you promote it. Yet you are trying in vain to claim a veil of neutrality about it, so you can dodge responsibility for any criticism of said junk news.

If you don't believe it and it's all bunk, then what even was the point of bringing it up here?

Good words to live by but one good thing about arguing with conspiracy theorists and the like. They make you thankful your not that blindly stupid, or fu*ked up.

    @Overheal

Firstly, thanks for your post re. gaslighting. I don't believe I was doing that but I appreciate your post.

I think there is a possibility that it is true. It is also possible the republicans use the same kind of tricks.

I brought it up because another poster speculated that bots were responsible for the huge amount of likes Bidens Tweet got.

Well at least now we've established you think the conspiracy theory has merit. So we can proceed to pointing out the people making a mountain out of this molehill are run by John Solomon, who is all but evidently operating this 'news' site as a PAC/propaganda site for the Trump 2020 election. So, I would urge folks to be very cautious when trying to snipe at democrats etc. by using it as a talking point, because at present its an indefensible position based on very thin facts being propagated by very questionable figures. Ergo, trying to make posts that defame democrats by suggesting they 'rigged the likes on youtube' is going to be, how shall we say: gaslighting.

Would you say CNN to some extent are a propoganda outlet for the democrats?

To what extent are you suggesting, and what is your evidence?

This evening you brought up the fact that Trump and Epstein were co-accused in a rape case. What is your source for information on this case? What is your personal stance? And what was the outcome of the case?

They seem to have wall to wall coverage that is anti Trump. They never seem to show stories about his many good actions as president. I could go on. Im not sure how I can provide evidence of that other than showing you actual CNN footage. If you really do need evidence I could perhaps try to find something tomorow.

This evening you brought up the fact that Trump and Epstein were co-accused in a rape case. What is your source for information on this case? What is your personal stance? And what was the outcome of the case?

    What I said was,

"If someone is telling you Trump did something to Epstein, then they're telling you he had him killed, I guess? Given that Trump and Epstein are indeed associates, and, fact check, were co-defendants on charges of raping a 13-year old."

    In relation to

"Look what Trump done to Harvey weinstein and Jeffrey epstejn."

And my source is primary and on public record: (Document)

Which was dropped only when the plaintiff rescinded upon receiving numerous death threats.

My personal stance is that Trump clearly is hiding closer ties to Epstein and Maxwell than has been revealed publicly. Regardless, there as indisputable conflict when Trump's DOJ is overseeing her prosecution, we have already seen strong evidence that this DOJ is politically corrupted.

If you don't mind that would be great.

How much coverage would you say you watch?

Don't you suppose a few of those clips are missing context? I would have actually loved to hear the complete response Biden gave to that man in the glasses for example. Because, his tone of voice let's me know he has a much longer answer than "I'd love to too!"

edit: on cursory inspection this looks like more screed based on lack of context or nuance from soundbytes.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/06/19/fact-check-joe-biden-doesnt-want-ban-all-fracking-only-new-permits/3215253001/

Biden clarified this, already, in June. He would not shut down existing fracking businesses, he would however move to ban new permits.

Donald Trump puts his rape defense on the taxpayer: Bill Barr's DOJ steps in to fight off defamation lawsuit brought by advice columnist E. Jean Carroll claiming he was 'acting as president' when he called her a liar.

Donald Trump nominated by a member of the Norwegian Parliament for Nobel Peace Prize following his efforts to broker peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Hasn't been an incident at the Israel/UAE border since the Trump peace accord.
(I know, but I live in hope DT says this at some stage).

Trump's main motivation to win a NPP is because Obama got one

Presumably they'll be "yeah, thanks Christian *eye roll* we'll be sure to give it due consideration".

Or will they think "hey, let's destroy our reputation and award it to Trump for the lols".

the only real unpleasantness between them that i can remember was after a hamas leader was assassinated in Dubai by Mossad agents using irish passports. they have been buddying up for years because they both hate Iran.

In 2020, there were 318 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize, so being nominated by a far right politician is hardly news.
