Closed credit card account - no bank account with BOI - what happens to refunds poste

    As stated in title, Closed credit card account - no bank account with BOI - what happens to refunds posted?  Will they get sent to the original account that paid the direct debit, even if with another bank?

    Hi there, 

    thanks for getting in touch with us here today. Generally if the account has been closed we would recommend that you arrange an alternative method for  a refund from the merchant. However if the merchant has already processed a refund on the account we would recommend that you request a proof of payment from the merchant. Once you receive the proof of payment we would ask that you visit your local Bank of Ireland branch and our colleagues here will be happy to help with this.
