Madigans passing - "Rip the flesh off your fingers"

    This is terrific stuff.

Not impressed by Clancy there. Missed crossing and JGP getting taken out despite bit being part of the ruck.

There was clearly crossing in midfield for Treadwell to get the line break no?

    Home team decision.

Madigan successfully completed a pass: Madigan for Ireland.

Frawley at 12 is looking really promising so far.

Gibson Park running a great show here. Good understanding between him and Byrne - terrific to see so far.

He'll be in the back of a Hiace to Limerick tonight.

That depends very much upon your point of view

    Can someone check on Awec?

I was going to say that the crowd noise wasn't as noticeable today as it was in the last game.

But I realised it's because the commentary is drowning it out by not taking a breath.

Ulster are incredible at screwing things up for themselves here. They're Leinster's 16th man.

Very slick loop back to JGP which opened to space for our players to run into space wide. Nice strike play.

JGP is in some serious form today.

Connor Murray not exactly quaking in his boots tonight

    Poor from Cooney

Cooney sums up his team's performance so far.

Great bit of predictive play from Connors.

Certainly not from Cooney. 3 poor errors in the last 7 or 8 minutes.

JGP putting himself very much in the picture for a call up though.

    Jaysus, what's happened to cooney.

He might be if JGP keeps it up

Rob Kearney wouldn't inspire confidence based on his showing so far.

Josh Murphy immediately making up for his mistake. You love to see it.

I see the second coming of Kev McLaughlin is coming along nicely.

Hasn't really done much good or bad? Gave away one penalty for coming in at the side and put in a few attacking kicks which were fairly inconspicuous.

Leinster haven't really been tested in an aerial attack due to Cooney's poor showing.

Encouraging first half performance from Leinster. Great to see more evidence of our new kicking game. It's keeping Ulster on the retreat and means their defence can't set up just one way. Some nice strike plays and very strong defence too.

Ulster look quite threatening when they can keep the ball past a few phases. They have strong carriers and they're punching holes in Leinster's defence. But individual errors killed them in teh first half. Whether it's Cooney kicking out on the full, a dropped pass, or even a pass to ground they keep stalling their own momentum. If they cut out the mistakes they can still win this. They're too good a side to not grab this game by the throat, especially against a second string Leinster.

Ulster probably with the bulk of possession and probably a fraction more territory but Leinster are coming away with points whenever they have possession in the Ulster 22.

Ulster will regret the inexplicable decision to chase 7 points instead of taking a straightforward shot at the posts when 10-0 down.

I said before the game, the team whose 6-10 delivered would win the game and those groups of players have been the clear difference. The Leinster back row and JGP are going very well. Byrne looking comfortable and his usual composed self. Madigan looks decent and Coetzee is doing the work of two men but Cooney has been stinking and the Ulster flankers have been a clear second best.

I'd instantly agree to a border poll if Sinn Fein promised to ban Mark Robson from ever commentating on rugby again.

He is to rugby what the monsoon is to cricket.

Ulster have plenty big names on the bench and they need them on now. Their first half performance was atrocious.

Some simple things not working: Restarts, kicking game and discipline.
