Sky broadband need an eircom line?

    Hi,
    Have Sky tv and looking to get broadband too. Sky website says an Eircom compatible phone line required for Broadband Essential and Broadband Superfast. Excuse my ignorance, but I thought Sky broadband would be via satellite rather than a phone line.

    They use eirs infrastructure, like a lot of others, Vodafone, pure telecom etc.

    Sky don't provide satellite broadband.
