P45 from most recent employer?

    When going to a new job, does a new employee only need to provide their new employer with the P45 from their most recent job only, or does new employer need P45 from all previous jobs ? Anyone know?.

    Nope, the days of the P45 are gone since the start of 2019.

    It now all goes through Revenue instead.

    Exactly so. P45's are now history. You give your tax number to the new employer and they pick up all your details from revenue.

    Your PPS number. If you dont provide it, or know it, you get slapped with emergency tax - then you will WANT to find it quick :D
    It will be on your current pay slips

    Phew thank you all so much! I can't seen to locate a P45 from a previous employment that ended in 2017.
    Am I correct in assuming I don't require it now?

    Register for Revenue MyAccount, click manage tax or whatever the option is. Add Job, give Revenue your employer’s tax number, answer a few Qs, and bob’s your uncle.

    Forget about P45s

    I set up an account online with revenue when starting a previous employment in 2018.
    Will the same account suffice for this new employment?

    Your pps number will stay the same for life. It is a record of who, where and how much you earned. You, me and them are just a number.
    All details are linked to that. Get it off your payslip and away you go.
