Why does coffee make me nauseous but caffeine pills/energy drinks don't?

Not a medical issue so mods don't close the thread. I've always wondered this, I can't for the life of me drink coffee without throwing up yet I can take a handful of caffeine pills and gulp down energy drinks no problem. I've heard it's the oils in the coffee that irritate the lining of the stomach.

I was hesitant to leave the thread open for fear you would get unsafe advice. Alas, that's what happened (post deleted) so I'm closing it. I really don't think people with similar symptoms would be frequenting a coffee forum but if there are, and they're reading this, perhaps they could drop you a PM.
